Codilayeri reacted to Chim in Wise Download Center Behind with WRC?
Since yesterday March 23rd, I see on Major Geeks that there is supposedly already a WRC 9.42.613 version out.  However, at the Wise Download Center, the latest WRC version out is 9.41.

Is the Wise Download Center behind or is Major Geeks wrong?

Codilayeri reacted to FOLBlog in Wise Registry defrag and endless bootlop
I made a registry defragmentation with Wise Registry Cleaner 7.85.516 version and the PC, after reboots, run into an endless bootloop.
I tried the workaround explained here http://forum.wisecleaner.com/index.php?/topic/439-win8-entire-registry-wiped-on-defrag-782512/ but it didn't work.
Could anyone suggest something else to try to solve the problem?
    TIA

    Hi,

I tried running the compress utility and after it analyzes my system and asks me to start I click OK and I get "An error occurs: Failure to Restore". The application closes and the system reboots. When I launch the utility again and run the analysis one more time I get the same results and it appears as though the compress didn't run.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

After I created a backup, I see in the restore window where it lists the backup,  but in what folder does it create the backup. Do I need to use the Wise program to restore it or can I do it manually if I no longer have the Wise program?

Codilayeri reacted to CMC in Cannot backup "Full Registry"
Cannot backup "Full Registry" and receive error message that the file at C:\documents and settings\ <My name>\Local settings\temp\fullreg.rbk cannot be exported, error writing file. It writes it the rbk in the temp folder but, cannot export/re-write it and deletes it from the temp folder. Have not tried restore backup and don't need to. But cannot export .rbk and save it as .reg?

It backs up the changes to registry when cleaning as they are listed in the restore option but, NO full registry backup.

The question remains, why doesn't it just write the backup as .reg file along with the other backups in the same folder and, why it cannot export it from temp folder to where the file needs and should be?

    Any idea? winxp sp3

    Thanks in advance

    Hello all,

The right-click "ignore this entry" function works for every category except shared dlls. I have 14 entries that I try to manually set to ignore but they come right back on the next scan. So, is there a fix in the works for this issue?

    Hi@all,

the report in Registry Cleaner shows "chinese signs". You find them at "Benutzer-Detailverlauf" (German version, I assume in the English version it is something like "user file process")

You will find them as "chinese" users. The report shows that these users are especially checking on which files had been opened and worked on in the last sessions. The number of "chinese users" popping up grow over time.

I am worried the system has been infected by malware, like trojans.

Are these "chinese users" unauthorized users ?

    Please help.

    Thank you.

Hi. Gotta say "Wise Registry Cleaner" SEEMS like a fantastic product..even better than CCleaner for removing junk, plus the option to defrag the Registry is a real bonus. And a nice clean GUI.
    Well done on that,at least.

I like to give credit where I think it is due.

However, since using Wise Registry Cleaner I've noticed I now get a "failed to unload native registry" message on startup.

I'm using xp pro,and have never had such a message appear in over 10 years of use.

Whilst I haven't as yet noticed any performance issues since the message at the moment, I'm concerned I even got this message at all.

    Please advise.
    Thank you.

    Hi all!
I would like to see some new features of WRC:
    1) Regarding the installed version of WRC (scilicet the uninstaller version): DON'T REMOVE c:\users\user-name\appdata\roaming\wise registry cleaner\backup folder and the files in it.
    2) POSSIBILITY to select/tick/tap/check all found problems in a section and ignore them in one click.
Better: select part of the entries to ignore and ignore them in one click.
    3) POSSIBILITY to ignore all sections in the custom area (at the present we need to select at least one section)
    4) Command line parameter to defragment the Windows registry ONLY.

Codilayeri reacted to sgard in access to internet
this morning I downloaded Wise Registry Cleaner, and then ran the Registry Cleaner program.  There seemed to be a large number of "errors".  I then did whatever was necessary to clean up the registry. I went one step further which perhaps was unwise - I ran system Tuneup.

I then rebooted my computer, linked to the internet through WIFI and the indication after rebooting was that the computer was connected to the internet.

I then tried to start Google Chrome - and it would not start. Then tried to start Internet Explorer but received a Windows error message that the computer could not access IE. Hit the diagnostic button that came up and it was a Windows diagnostic that checked the internet connection.  After a few minutes the diagnostic asked me to choose the WiFi connection (curious  since the  icon on the lower right of the computer had indicated I was connected to the correct node, and the signal wa excellent)

I choose the internet connection and the diagnostic proceeded and eventually indicated it had completed the connection.  I was then able to connect to IE and Google Chrome.

This process took about 10 minutes to diagnose the problem with the  internet connection.

Its a pain in the butt and I shouldn't have to do this. Everything was fine  before I ran Wise Registry cleaner.

How do I fix the problem.???

    Hi,

I recently installed Wise Registry Cleaner 8 to rid my registry of faulty entries.

I have to be honest I was very impressed, however my PC was running fairly fast but I thought I'd run the registry defrag whilst I was at it.

Now it has completed, it has slowed my machine dramatically, that my bootup speed and program start speeds are at least x10 worse. My PC booted in 45 seconds with no lag starting programs but after the defrag it takes nearly 5 minutes and programs (like firefox) which were usually instant are now take a minute or so.

Is there a way to reverse this or solve this issue??
