xilolee reacted to garioch7 in Constant Pop Ups
Download and install adwcleaner and junk removal tool (jrt.exe) (Google them). Run them to remove most of your junk. Malwarebytes Anti-Malware also has a free version of their program which will remove malware.
Hope this helps. Have a great day.

xilolee got a reaction from Jayzx in Do you know their difference in WDC?
Nor do I, both on WDC and Wcare365 (portable and latest versions).
Was it removed?
This post was made in may 2013, hence the feature was probably removed from the program after that date, but in the changelogs (on the website) it isn't mentioned and the online documentation - support, help online, wise disk cleaner - still shows that option.

HOW TO MAKE A SCREENSHOT - Second method using SNIPPINGTOOL.EXE
(works from Windows vista onwards... I think!)
1) Open snippingtool.exe
You can open it from:
Start, program, accessories, snipping tool Start, run, type snippingtool.exe, press enter on your keyboard Press Windows key + R key on your keyboard (Windows + R), it opens the run window, type snippingtool.exe and press enter Windows vista and seven/7: Start, in the searchbox type snippingtool.exe and press enter Windows 8/8.1: (desktop) bottom-left corner, right-click, run, type snippingtool.exe and press enter Windows 8/8.1: (desktop) bottom-left corner, right-click, search, type snippingtool.exe and press enter Windows 8/8.1: (desktop) bottom-right corner, search charm, type snippingtool.exe and press enter Windows 8/8.1: (ModernUI/metro start) type directly snippingtool.exe and press enter And so forth... 2) Make sure to keep visible the area that you want to capture. 3) Click the new button (of the tool) and select the area in which you are interested to show
4) Check if the image is displayed correctly and edit it according to the forum rules.
You can also hoop/point out/underline some of the most important parts.
5) Save your image/screenshot.
When you want to post some images (or files) on any forum, use the compressed formats (jpg, png, for images; zip, 7z, rar, for files).

HOW TO MAKE A SCREENSHOT - First method using MSPAINT.EXE
(works from Windows xp onwards; I can't remember if it works in win98, WinME, WinMillennium, sorry.)
1) Make sure to keep visible the area that you want to capture.
2) Press Print screen key on your keyboard (aka: Print Scrn, Prnt Scrn, Prt Scn, Prt Scr, Prt Sc, Stamp (in italy)).
If you press ALT key both with PRNT SCRN key (ALT + PRNT SCRN), you'll have only the active Window in memory.
Windows 8/8.1: you can press both Windows key and print screen (Windows + PRNT SCRN) and you'll have an already saved screenshot in C:\Users\your-user-name\Pictures\Screenshots, probably saved as a PNG file.
3) Open mspaint.exe (or your preferred painting program).
You can open it from:
Start, program, accessories, paint (mspaint) Start, run, type mspaint.exe, press enter on your keyboard Press Windows key + R key on your keyboard (Windows + R), it opens the run window, type mspaint.exe and press enter Windows vista and seven/7: Start, in the searchbox type mspaint.exe and press enter Windows 8/8.1: (desktop) bottom-left corner, right-click, run, type mspaint.exe and press enter Windows 8/8.1: (desktop) bottom-left corner, right-click, search, type mspaint.exe and press enter Windows 8/8.1: (desktop) bottom-right corner, search charm, type mspaint.exe and press enter Windows 8/8.1: (ModernUI/metro start) type directly mspaint.exe and press enter And so forth... 4) Inside the mspaint area, do a right-click and click paste (Windows xp: you should first select the dashed rectangle)... Or click directly the paste button, if present.
Or from the edit menu.
Or press ctrl key + v key on your keyboard (CTRL + V).
5) Check if the image is displayed correctly and edit it according to the forum rules.
You can also hoop/point out/underline some of the most important parts.
6) Save your image/screenshot.

Hi people!
Keep in mind that we CAN NOT translate your Language inside the screenshots, i.e. write in your topics/posts the error messages that are inside your screenshots.

HOW TO MAKE A SCREENSHOT - Second method using SNIPPINGTOOL.EXE
HOW TO POST A SCREENSHOT (OR A FILE...) WHEN YOU ARE LOGGED INTO THE FORUM
HOW TO POST A SCREENSHOT WHEN YOU ARE USING WISE PC 1ST AID
Suggestions? Corrections? (Yes, my English is horrible!)

HOW TO POST A SCREENSHOT (OR A FILE...) WHEN YOU ARE LOGGED INTO THE FORUM
If you are posting inside the forum, you have two methods:
1) attach files directly from the forum
- when replying, click more reply options
- click choose files... button, under attach files
- choose your file and click open (ok)
- wait until the file is uploaded
- click add to post.
If you are using MSIE 11, there could be a problem: you must first disable the advanced text feature; this is an error in the forum code (probably it is not updated to work with MSIE 11).
2) upload your image to a website (designed for it), then post its special code that it's usually something like:
{img}http://www.link.something/your-image/{/img} I changed the square brackets [] with the curly brackets {} because the forum doesn't accept them as a code, but you should use the square brackets [] As an example, there is tinypic.com that offers this service.
For non-image files, there is speedyshare.com that offers this service, as an example.

xilolee reacted to Jayzx in slow start up
Is windows 8.1 your update or installed when purchased?
Most of slow startup problems is caused by updating from old version of windows to window 8.1.
Some ways to have fast startup:
1. Scan pc with your anti virus.
2. Use Wise Care 365, run check up, cleaners, defrag and optimize.
3. Disable some startup program available in Wise Care 365 and Task Manager, but always keep your anti virus enabled and running.
4. Reinstall drivers not working properly and update your drivers.

xilolee reacted to Jayzx in Built-in-Camera
It was not a driver problem, simply not compatible with win8.
I uninstall the Camera app and reinstall it.
I had problems verifying my microsoft account so uninstalling the app was not a option before but finally verified it and now can install from the Win.Store.
It works fine now

xilolee reacted to Jayzx in system32
(The problem maybe done by error in uninstalling a software because it happened after I uninstall a software)
I removed the (" ") as instructed and using command prompt (admin) I typed "sfc /scannow" (without the quotation), waited until 100% and showed:
Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some
of them. Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For
example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. Note that logging is currently not
supported in offline servicing scenarios.
after that I typed dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth (without the quotation), waited until 100% and showed that it was complete.
It didn't do anything (I think) because it was still the same. I installed Malwarebytes because I noticed that there are softwares I didn't install. After the scan, cleanup and restart, my "system32" problem didn't occur anymore.
It maybe because of command prompt or malwarebytes that it was fixed. I don't know for sure but glad it was fixed.

Yup.
Today I installed that important update (Win 8.1 service pack 1?), rebooted the machine and later I used WiseCare365 and now I get this:
I'm using the pc checkup function and the system cleaner function (registry cleaner, common cleaner, advanced cleaner)... Are you using the same functions or are you using only the pc checkup function?
Anyway this should reported separately from this topic, on its own one, since wisecleaner moderators/admins/developers could not read it here.
If you prefer, I could split the posts we made (regarding this problem).
That behaviour has appeared for sure with this update:

xilolee reacted to garioch7 in Msvcr80.dll
There is a problem with the latest iTunes update which pops up error messages about two different missing .dll files. They are not really missing. If you check out the Apple Forums, you will see that many folks experiencing the same problem. The solution is to remove/uninstall all Apple applications from your computer and then reinstall everything again. Your error messages will disappear. The problem is caused by the uninstaller for the version being updated deregisters a service before stopping it, which causes the upgrade to go sideways.
Hope this helps. Have a great day.

Fardun: It would seem that you have Search Conduit installed on your system. It is a PUP (potentially unwanted program) and gets bundled in downloads and takes over your computer. Download and run adwcleaner and junk removal tool (google them). Those should delete Search Conduit and any other junk on your system. You can also try to locate "Search Conduit" via the Control Panel or the Wise Program Uninstaller (preferable) and uninstall it that way.
Hope this helps. Have a great day.

-Phil
