Sorry for my english, it's not my native language. If reminder is set to monthly repeat, and computer was turned off in time of reminder, when Windows starts next time, isn't shown popup window about missed event. Looks like program just moves event to the next month (if reminder is set to once, popup window about missed event is shown)

Instead of buying a new computer, adding RAM is often the most cost-effective upgrade you can make to speed up a sluggish computer.
 
You may see a lot of similar articles on the internet, but they all seem a little bit complicated for normal users.
 
Follow the next easy steps to upgrade your RAM:
 
1. Check how many memory slots the motherboard has
Most computer motherboards have two, three, or four memory slots. Some higher end motherboards have as many as six, or possibly even eight memory slots. This is the total number of slots available. Unless you are using a very old computer, you will have to change the RAM. If there is one more slot for adding one memory, you don’t have to reinstall the system.
 
2. Find Out the Maximum RAM Capacity for Your System
Determine if Windows is 32-bit or 64-bit. Download Wise Care 365, click Hardware Overview in System Monitor, you will see the info of your operating system.

32-bit can support up to 4 GB of RAM. In fact, 32-bit Windows is limited to accessing 3.2GB of that 4GB).
64-bit can support up to 128 GB of RAM or even more than that.
 
3. Find Out the maximum RAM capacity for your mainboard
In Wise Care 365, check the Mainboard in System Monitor, you will see your mainboard type. Google it to find the spec of it. You will see the maximum RAM capacity for your mainboard.


 
4. Find out the right type of RAM for your computer
Call me preachy but please first know if you are buying a RAM for your laptop or desktop. In most cases, they are different. Most motherboards accept only one type of RAM, if you're buying new RAM, you're probably going to make your life a lot easier by buying the exact same model as you currently have in your machine, but they don’t have to be the same brand. Check the Memory info in System Monitor and buy the RAM that has the same speed and memory type so that it will be compatible with your computer. 

I have this problem with RG Portable version, the RG icon appears in system tray and then disappears after a few seconds. No message. After this I check manually, it deleted nothing. It doesn't work at all. Then I checked in the Windows TaskScheduler and I have seen that the task is set up for Windows 2000 and XP, maybe the parameters of the task would be updated.
Anyway in the scheduled task, it would be added the option of repeating task if the PC was turn off, hibernate or sleep at the scheduled moment.

I have tested Wise Disk Claener for several weeks now and I am very happy with it.
But now a new automatic update was released, and I would like to use this occasion to hint onto two issues:
 
(1) When the program is updated, it does not save the "exlusion of files" from scanning. This is annoying, as I have a list of allowed cookies in my firefox profile (all other cookies are blocked).
 
(2) The "lightening of the system" - tab (3rd one; sorry, if the translation is not correct, as I have the French version) allows to remove the photo- / music- and video-samples in the public folders. This is in principle a nice feature, however removing those files leads to the fact that sfc / scannow reports corruption errors (without indicating what they are; I verified with the third party software: SFCfix). Wouldn' it be possible to remove these files without triggering sfc /scannow to report errors ? Because when running sfc / scannow afterwards, one then always needs to verify in a rather complex way, whether the errors / corruptions reported are "only" those resulting from the removal of the sample files in the public folder or whether there are other, more serious, issues.
 
But as I said, otherwise this is a very nice tool.

How to Recover Windows 10 to Windows 7/8.1

Microsoft has launched Windows 10 worldwide on 29 July, 2015 and will provide a free upgrade for existing Windows users. If you are running a Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 PC, you possibly already start to experience the new operating system. As we know up to now, Windows 10 has a good compatibility with most of popular applications, but not all. Although you may easily tend to be tempted by the free logic, we’d like to remind some users not to hurry up for the upgrading.
1. Game player. It takes time for all game vendors to adjust their products to realize smoothly running under the new operating system.
2. Some business software like digital sculpting, inventory, accounting software and the programming software not from Microsoft. It’s recommended to consult the vendors before upgrading.
3. If your PC is running on previous versions of Windows (XP or Vista), which always means outdated hardware, it won’t work properly on Windows 10. You may fail during upgrading process or couldn’t booting your PC after that.

For those users having finished the upgrading, if you find you’d like to return the old version which you are used to, you could follow the following steps.
1. Click "Action Center" on the right-down corner of Windows 10 desktop to get the pop-up.

2. Then click "All settings" to get the System Setting menu. Choose the last item "Update & security"

3. Refer to the diagram. Choose "Recovery"

4. From the right column to find "Go back to Windows 7"
5. Click "Get started" to get the pop-up. Choose one of reasons and click next step

6. Click next step.

7. Last reminding. Click next step

8. Click "Go back to Windows 7" to start the system recovery.

9. The recover process is taking about 20 minutes.

Notes:
1. You need to have the folders named $Windows~BT and Windows.old under the system drive to finish the "Go back"

2. Some Cleaning up software may delete $Windows~BT folder to cause the fail of the system recovery. (WiseCleaner won't clean these two folders.)
If you possibly recover the old edition of Windows, please don’t forget to copy above two folders after you upgrade to Windows 10.

Windows 8&8.1 fast startup is a new feature which speeds up the startup process by creating a hibernate file which contains system configuration data and is re-loaded each time a PC starts up.  In most cases, if Windows 8 detects a change in the PC configuration, it will ignore the hibernate file and perform a normal startup process which reloads the kernel, services, device drivers and applications.
 
In this tutorial, I will show you how to enable it to help your PC boot faster
 
1. Open the Control Panel, and click on the Power Options icon.

 
2. Click/tap on the Choose what the power buttons do link on the left side.

3. Click/tap on the Change settings that are currently unavailable link at the top. 

 
4. If prompted by UAC, then click/tap on Yes. 

5. To Turn On "Fast Startup" (Hybrid Boot) for a "Hybrid Shutdown"
 
NOTE: This is the default setting.
 
Under Shutdown settings, check the Turn on fast startup box, and click/tap on the Save changes button. 

NOTE: If the Turn on fast startup setting is not listed, then you will need to close the System Settings window, enable hibernate, then start back at step 1 again.

 
The Shut down Power option will now perform as a hybrid shut down when used.
 
For a faster startup, you also need to disable the programs and services that you don’t need start on bootup.
 
Here is an easy solution for disabling all the unnecessary services and programs when windows start.

There is a Startup Manager feature in System Tuneup section, there you can disable any program or service that starts on bootup. Of course if you are just a normal user and don’t know what services to turn off, you can refer to the Suggestion column, it suggests whether you should keep the service, enable the services or disable the services. If you wanna get the services back on bootup, you can use the Records option( Pro versions only) and make disabled services and programs start on bootup again.


 
With the two solutions above, you will see an improvement in your Windows startup time.
 
 

How to Recover Deleted Files in Windows For Free? Check this video

 
 
Everybody wants a fast computer startup. In this article I will show you several most effective ways.
Note: All of these changes are optional, and do not need to be carried out. Instead, they are offered as suggestions to try to lower the time it takes for Windows to boot.
 
System BIOS Changes---Change Boot Order
1. You must start with the computer completely off, not in sleep or hibernation mode. Then turn the computer on.

2. Enter the system BIOS screen by the manufacturers suggestion. Depending on the computer, this may involve pressing the DEL key, pressing F1, Pressing F10, holding down CTRL-ALT-S, or a variety of other keystrokes to get to the BIOS screen. As for my HP desktop, I need to press Esc.

3. Find an option called Boot Priority, and change the first boot device to be the hard drive. Changing this option will speed up the boot process. Typically, most desktop motherboards set the optical device as first boot device. So when you turn on your desktop, it automatically boots from the optical device. If you set the hard drive as first boot device, it saves the time of detecting the optical device. But if booting from anything other than the hard drive is important to you, please skip this step.

4. Choose the option to Exit and Save Changes and the computer will reboot.

Activate No GUI Boot
Many sites recommend disabling the animated Windows boot logo to help speed up the time it takes to boot. Although it may decrease the time by a couple seconds, the anxiety caused by facing a blank screen and wondering if Windows has stalled or froze during bootup outweighs the second or two you may save. Although if you wish to disable the Windows boot logo, follow these steps:

1. Click on Start, Run and type msconfig and press Enter

2. Click on the Boot tab

3. Click the No GUI Boot checkbox and click OK
4. Reboot the computer

Disable startup items you don’t need
Each item on the Startup list that is enabled loads immediately after Windows starts. If there are lots of items here, this will slow down the boot time for Windows considerably. Each of these items can be deactivated on startup.
Download Wise Care 365, there is a Startup Manager feature in System Tuneup section. This program divided startup items into startup programs and services. You can examine each of these startup items and uncheck any that are not necessary. How do you know which ones are not necessary? Check the Suggestion/Rating column. For each of the Microsoft startup services, Wise Care 365 will give you a suggestion on whether you should keep it or disable it. While for the third party services, you can decide after you check its rating.



Residual registry and registry errors
Every time you load a program, game, or file, your PC's software registry is updated with new instructions needed to operate that item. However, when the item is removed, these instructions usually remain on your PC. Every time you run your computer it tries to execute these instructions but, because the related program can't be found, it causes a registry error. Your PC is doing a lot more work than it should be, and the result is a significantly slower computer.

In that case you can use the Registry Cleaner feature,  it scans, identifies, cleans and fixes registry errors. I have to remind you that registry cleaner is not a magic bullet that can make your PC startup time shorter. Normally it would not magically make your PC boot faster or run much faster. But it erases or fixes these registry errors which are a threat to your PC stability.


Disk Cleanup and Defrag
Performing regular hard drive maintenance on your computer every week will not only catch problems before they cause serious damage but also make your hard drive run at its optimal level. Follow these instructions to clean up the drive and defrag it.

It is real simple, just click the Common Cleaner and Advanced Cleaner, scan and then clean. The disk defrag is also very simple. Just check all the partitions in your hard drive and click Defragment. That’s it, the disk cleanup and defrag is all complete.




After all these tweaks, you will see some improvement in your computer boot time.

When I go to MENU-settings,whenever I save a setting the settings box keeps closing. I have to keep reopening it to adjust other settings. Can you keep it open until we close it ourselves ?
