Kevin Korotev
I just did a complete OS re-install and am not sure the News WISE cleaner is the cause of this temperature icon that shows up after re-start? That little bug in the upper corner of my screen? How do I turn it off. Not "hide" it, but turn it OFF?
xilolee
Yes, the new beta version (it seems it is not more beta from Yesterday) shows that temperature icon. If you double left click the percentage, it frees up memory (RAM). I don't think you can disable it, you can just hide it.
Kevin Korotev
Very inconvenient if true...and I THINK you're right, xilolee.
xilolee
Anyway, wait for an authoritative reply from admins/developers (I'm a simple moderator).

Kevin Korotev
Well..THIS rarely happens...I think I fixed it! It may or may not be relevant, but know that I installed WiseCare on an external drive because it seemed to be conflicting with a similar program on my OS drive. FYI. IN THE WISECARE INSTALLATION folder (external drive but it may/should not matter, I renamed "WISETRAY.EXE" to "xWISETRAY.EXE". This is my standard approach to trying to stop an .exe from running before I delete it altogether. I don't think it matters what you re-name it as long as it's different. Voila! This icon is gone and doesn't come back! I'd like to hear if it works for anyone else? Kevin vhore
vhore
Kevin, Thanks for your "fix" to this annoying problem. I can confirm that adding an "x" in front of wisetray.exe works. The annoying widget is not there when I start-up the computer and it is not there when I launch WC. Just to be clear, this does not prevent WC from launching on start-up, as I have chosen in settings. This does not prevent Turbo booster from running either. All this "fix" does is remove the little widget from the top-right of the desktop. Thanks again for this ingenious fix. I hope the devs will listen to our comments on this and make an exception in the settings category to manually allow for incorporation of widget or not. And to the devs, I actually think the widget interface is designed well. I like its look and its placement on the desktop is good. The problem is that it starts with the program and you are forced to acknowledge it every time. I would use it if I had control over it. Plain and simple. Thanks for a good-looking update to this fine program.

kit1cat
Great idea Kevin, also stops program from closing to tray.
PWT1000
@ Kevin - Deleting wisetray.exe does seem to work without other issues being caused, hopefully the option to run this should be given IMO as it seems few like it - Thanks !
mikey1975777
Good call adding the "x" to Wisetray.exe. Every time that portion of the program started, it took up about 40 percent of my CPU. I'd run it if it weren't for the resource hogging.
wisecleaner_admin
Hey guys, Thank you for your feedback. The problem that cannot close temperature window, we will fix it in v3.12. It will be released soon. And high resource usage will be improved, too.
RayG2014
I'm runniing 3.12.271 and now have a widget that display percentage of memory used and a very very tiny graph of cpu usage. 1. Graphs that small are difficult to read. 2. Is there any way to control what is displayed on the widget?
nastypup
I actually like the temperature gauge! But it disappeared, as mentioned above by RayG2014. I ordered a new cooling mat because my laptop's temp was running hot (~ 140 F). How do I get it back?
wisecleaner_admin
Hey RayG2014 & nastypup, Thank you for your feed back. The temperature gauge has some bugs, we need time to fix it. So we remove it and add CPU usage to instead. In future, we will develop a new tool which include temperature and other features.
