april got a reaction from MichaelWeini in Wise Disk Cleaner can not delete some files ?
Sometimes, Wise Disk Cleaner can not delete some files.
That is normal because these files probably were being occupied by some applications, and they will be deleted next time when you reboot your computer again.
Another situation, Wise Disk Cleaner can not delete files even you have restarted your computer.
That is because temp files can be created automatically at any time and the names of the new temp files may be the same with the previous ones,so it seems that some files can not be deleted .

april got a reaction from Gagobroarve in Bootup booster--- WHY the time of bootup is always different everytime????
About the different speed of bootup, it's so normal.
The bootup speed cannot be controlled completely,
because anything related to your computer's condition (like physical devices) will affect the bootup time.
So it's unnecessary to worry about it.

Please find a PC which has the same system with your previous windows , install a Wise Folder Hider, and follow the instruction below to retrieve your folders.
Please follow the instructions below to recover your files.
1. Unzip and install the file downloaded from the link below.
http://www.wisecleaner.com/tools/WDR.zip
2. Open the main surface of the tool, choose the drive you used to place the files hidden. Then click "Search".
3. Find a folder named "...." (yes! just four dots!) in the left column. Then click the arrows below until you find the folder named "hide".
4. Click on the folder named "hide", a list of files will show up in the right.
5. Select the files you want to retrieve, and click "Restore" at the right bottom corner.
6. In the incoming pop-up, save the files to a different drive (important!).
7. Open the specific folder in the different drive you chose in 6, voila!
Thanks.

april got a reaction from steventuck in CD/DVD Drive not being detected
1. When PC starts, if the power led is on? If not, maybe it's bad contact or the device is broken.
2. If the power led is on, please try to run disk which contains data and check if it can run normally.
While If can not run normally, probably the laser head is broken.
3. If it can run disks with data normally, please uninstall and re-install burning software, or change to another burning software. Thanks.

april reacted to J.P in Wise Care 365 Pro
Hi and welcome, PatrickC7
It slows down the PC if you uninstall programs now and then.
Do remember this, there are always copies of files in the system as programs are added, in case
if you had regretted uninstallation, they are quicker to be back . And it is probably these files that are to be blamed.
Now I have not Windows 8 and do not know what they have 'said' to you, but have you tried the following and restart the PC:
1. to use the 'Disk Eraser'?
2. defragmenting your hard drive(s)?
3. to uninstall completely with the program 'Wise Program Uninstaller'
and reinstall WC365 again?
Have it in mind: 1. and 2. will take time depending on the size of hard drive(s)
It's just a shot in the dark

april reacted to tipstir in Few things to consider to add to this software
No problem! Does 2.65.205 have these changes I had implemented to you?
Also Need to add the following browsers for clean-up
Maxthon Cache
Safari Cache
FireFox Cache
Ram/Clipboard Clean-up must be down in PC Checkup. I know you have applet included but it most might not use it so you should have it set for Auto Clean.
Icon Cache Rebuild
C:\Users\User-Name\AppData\Local\IconCache.db
This one gets corrupted and in time won't display all icons on Windows OS.
ie4uinit.exe -ClearIconCache taskkill /IM explorer.exe /F DEL "%localappdata%\IconCache.db" /A shutdown /r /f /t 00
Privacy
Restricted Sites Protection Block List (ad, tracking, unwanted downloads, scripting, browser exploits an etc)
The above should be for Internet Explorer, Safari, Maxthon, and Chrome
TCP/IP
Network Connection Speed WAN side: 56KB, 1MB, 5MB, 10MB, 20MB, 30MB, 40MB, 50MB, 100MB Plus since most can now go up as high.
I just tested Wise 365 2.65.205 against another cleaner
Results shows
Registry - 10 problems (Histroy List, File Extensions, and Deep Scans for (MRUListEx, Empty Registry Values)
Windows 4.03 mb (Windows Logs)
Applications: 15 problems (Paint.net, MS AntiMalware, MS Security, Office and Windows Run History)
Final check from another cleaner found 104 logs..
Everything else looks good.
Thanks

Hi and welcome, iggy67
You can safely use Disk Eraser as it removes all 'unseen' traces from the previously installed without touching (let's call it) 'sore' data on your PC

april reacted to J.P in A useful information
To all and new members.
It will help us incredibly much if you describe what operating system you have
and perhaps its hardware. You can do it in 'Signature' box. Here is how:
1. Top right click on your name.
2. Select 'My Settings'.
3. 'Signature' on the left (center)
In this way we can better take us to the 'root' of the problem and then solve it faster.
Thank you in advance

april reacted to J.P in Freezes constantly
Hi and welcome, Erik
You can try this and it does not help - it is the best program Wise Care 365 that might help you, if you do not have it yet
1. Right-click on the taskbar and select Start Task Manager
2. When the Task Manager opens, go to the Processes tab
You will now see all the processes running on your system and how much system resources each process takes up.
As a rule, you are bound to find several processes belonging to utilities that check for software updates or make certain software launch faster.
The truth is, you don’t really need them running all the time and they can safely be disabled.
Unnecessary startup items are easy to manage with the help of the System Configuration Utility.
Here’s how:
1. Click on the Start button, then click Run (for Windows XP) or Search Programs and files (for Windows 7).
2. Type msconfig in the box and hit Enter. This will launch the System Configuration Utility.
3. Go to the Startup tab. You will see a list of all programs launching on Windows startup.
4. Now go through the list and simply uncheck the programs you don’t want to start automatically.
Be careful and don’t start disabling recklessly.
If you don’t know what something is, it’s best to leave it alone or at least Google it before disabling.
Otherwise you risk making your PC unbootable.
5. Click Apply and then click OK.
6. Reboot Windows for the changes to take effect.
