  1. It has to be one of the most annoying things ever! When you are trying to do some work or some research and you have a slow internet connection! Here are some tips you can use to improve the speed of your internet connection. PC Maintenance You should firstly check your computer to see if it currently has any viruses on, this is a common issue to why your internet connection is slow! You should always have anti-virus software on your computer to avoid getting any viruses, you should also perform regular scans so any viruses will show up and be dealt with as soon as possible. We also suggest a scanning and cleanup of browser corrupted files with Wise Care 365 which helps browsers run faster. Reset your Router You can simply reset your router to try and gain a better internet connection. You can also try unplugging the router from the mains for a couple of seconds then re-plug it in, this can also help get a better and faster connection to the internet. Position of your Wireless Router You should when possible position your router in central position so that you get a good connection all around your home rather than just the one side. You should also avoid putting your router near obstructions such as walls and metal objects which will interfere with the connection making it weaker. Replace the Router’s antenna If you are unable to position your router in a central position of the home then you should buy a new antenna for the router. The antenna which has come with the router will be guiding broadcasts in all directions, and if your router is positioned near an outside wall, then half the routers power will be wasted going in the wrong direction. You should buy an antenna that has a high gain which focuses the broadcasts and signals in one direction which will make it stronger around the home. Contact Your Internet Service Provider Sometimes, the issue is at their end why you are receiving a bad service from them. If you ask them they can check to see why your connection is slow. They may need to send someone to test your connection to see if you have any problems with the hardware they have sent you. Check for Faster Connections in Your Area You should check to see if there is a faster internet connection in the area which is available to you. You should look out for fibre optic cables connections as they can be much faster than copper wire cables. This is because fibre optic cables are made of glass so there is a lot less deterioration in your download speed even over long distances.

  3. I don't know if it's just on my side, but I've been noticing some problems with the functionality of the forums. (1) If I try to post a reply in a thread via the "Reply to this topic" box at the bottom of the thread ... nothing happens. The reply doesn't remotely attempt to get posted. I end up having to use the Black "Reply to this topic" BUTTON at the upper right of the page. (2) The next issue: Well, I was planning on attaching a screen capture image to show the problem that I'm encountering, but the problem is that I'm not being allowed to attach an image because the problem IS right at that area. So, I'll try to explain the problem. Right there at the "Attach Files" area at the bottom left of the reply box ... where the "Choose Files" BUTTON is --- some other text that appears to read "uldn't load plug" is being superimposed on the Choose Files BUTTON. This is rendering the Choose Files BUTTON non-functional. In case it helps zero in on the problem --- I am using Windows XP Pro SP3. I am using the latest version of avast Free Anti-Virus. I am using NetZero Dial Up Internet.

  4. Ooooooo! Heyyy! BAMM! Bingo! Good call, Xilolee. That was the problem. I am now typing this reply from my secondary / backup browser --- Opera 36.0.2130.65 and the problems have been neutralized. Cuz actually, there was even a third issue I hadn't even mentioned, but it's now been fixed as well with the use of Opera. That third symptom was that the Attributes Bar wouldn't even display. So when you mentioned trying that button above the BOLD button, I immediately went, "What BOLD button? I can't even get the Attributes Bar to display anymore." Anyway, my normal browser is Maxthon Cloud 4.9.4.2000. That is the browser with which I was getting those 3 problems. It's possible that the culprit is THAT specific version of Maxthon, its latest. I say this because I know I didn't used to experience those problems before and that's probably because before, I used to use the 4.9.3.1000 version of Maxthon Cloud. A bit later and into the evening, let me experiment by going back to that 4.9.3.1000 version of Maxthon and see if that fixes the problems Maxthon wise. If that gets things working back to normal, I guess I'll then go to the Maxthon forums and inform them of the incompatibility issues or just plain ole BUG. I'll let you know the verdict sometime later, Xilolee. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

  7. There might be a problem from service provider, otherwise you have to change your antenna or maybe there is internet range issue at your place.

  8. If I am a standard user, Wise Cleaner will prompt me for administrator credentials and then proceed to operate on that administrator account rather than the account I'm launching it from. This makes impossible to clean local caches, etc.

  9. How to Recover Windows 10 to Windows 7/8.1 Microsoft has launched Windows 10 worldwide on 29 July, 2015 and will provide a free upgrade for existing Windows users. If you are running a Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 PC, you possibly already start to experience the new operating system. As we know up to now, Windows 10 has a good compatibility with most of popular applications, but not all. Although you may easily tend to be tempted by the free logic, we’d like to remind some users not to hurry up for the upgrading. 1. Game player. It takes time for all game vendors to adjust their products to realize smoothly running under the new operating system. 2. Some business software like digital sculpting, inventory, accounting software and the programming software not from Microsoft. It’s recommended to consult the vendors before upgrading. 3. If your PC is running on previous versions of Windows (XP or Vista), which always means outdated hardware, it won’t work properly on Windows 10. You may fail during upgrading process or couldn’t booting your PC after that. For those users having finished the upgrading, if you find you’d like to return the old version which you are used to, you could follow the following steps. 1. Click "Action Center" on the right-down corner of Windows 10 desktop to get the pop-up. 2. Then click "All settings" to get the System Setting menu. Choose the last item "Update & security" 3. Refer to the diagram. Choose "Recovery" 4. From the right column to find "Go back to Windows 7" 5. Click "Get started" to get the pop-up. Choose one of reasons and click next step 6. Click next step. 7. Last reminding. Click next step 8. Click "Go back to Windows 7" to start the system recovery. 9. The recover process is taking about 20 minutes. Notes: 1. You need to have the folders named $Windows~BT and Windows.old under the system drive to finish the "Go back" 2. Some Cleaning up software may delete $Windows~BT folder to cause the fail of the system recovery. (WiseCleaner won't clean these two folders.) If you possibly recover the old edition of Windows, please don’t forget to copy above two folders after you upgrade to Windows 10.
