Garthesone reacted to xilolee in Wise Care 365 find duplicates wiped up all my data and programs!
Hi kasem. :-)
I'm not sure you can use wise duplicate finder without a license and for free...
By the way, if it worked, it should have made a backup (if you didn't change its options).
Check menu, settings, backup folder.
There's also a "backup and restore" function, always in its menu.

Garthesone reacted to UCanFixIt in "Mark Solved" Option Now Available to Members
Hello all members,
The "Mark Solved" option has been activated in the Computer Trouble-Shooting Discussion Board. Now originating posters (OPs) can select their own "Best Answer."
How it works:
Each member response to an originating poster's issue will now include a "Mark Solved" button that can only be seen by the OP (see image1). If a specific response solves the OPs issue, he/she can simply click the Mark Solved button for that specific response and it will automatically do two things:
1. It will update the index to show the OPs issue as "Answered." (see image2)
2. It will add the "Best Answer" to the top of the OPs post. (see image3)
This new feature could really benefit members or guests that are looking for solutions while browsing or searching the Computer Trouble-Shooting Discussion Board.
Note: The Wise Specific Product Boards do not have this feature enabled.

Garthesone reacted to Linkin in How to Choose the Right RAM to Upgrade RAM of Windows PC?
Instead of buying a new computer, adding RAM is often the most cost-effective upgrade you can make to speed up a sluggish computer.
You may see a lot of similar articles on the internet, but they all seem a little bit complicated for normal users.
Follow the next easy steps to upgrade your RAM:
1. Check how many memory slots the motherboard has
Most computer motherboards have two, three, or four memory slots. Some higher end motherboards have as many as six, or possibly even eight memory slots. This is the total number of slots available. Unless you are using a very old computer, you will have to change the RAM. If there is one more slot for adding one memory, you don’t have to reinstall the system.
2. Find Out the Maximum RAM Capacity for Your System
Determine if Windows is 32-bit or 64-bit. Download Wise Care 365, click Hardware Overview in System Monitor, you will see the info of your operating system.
32-bit can support up to 4 GB of RAM. In fact, 32-bit Windows is limited to accessing 3.2GB of that 4GB).
64-bit can support up to 128 GB of RAM or even more than that.
3. Find Out the maximum RAM capacity for your mainboard
In Wise Care 365, check the Mainboard in System Monitor, you will see your mainboard type. Google it to find the spec of it. You will see the maximum RAM capacity for your mainboard.
4. Find out the right type of RAM for your computer
Call me preachy but please first know if you are buying a RAM for your laptop or desktop. In most cases, they are different. Most motherboards accept only one type of RAM, if you're buying new RAM, you're probably going to make your life a lot easier by buying the exact same model as you currently have in your machine, but they don’t have to be the same brand. Check the Memory info in System Monitor and buy the RAM that has the same speed and memory type so that it will be compatible with your computer.

Garthesone reacted to Linkin in How to Choose the Right RAM to Upgrade RAM of Windows PC?
Some users may encounter this kind of problem: For example, you added a 2 GB DDR3 RAM to the windows 7 laptop which has only 2 GB of RAM( also DDR3 of course). After you properly installed the new RAM, you check the property of computer, it still shows you only have 2GB RAM instead of 4GB.
Here is one solution:
1: Click Start menu, inside search field type msconfig and press Enter
2: Choose Boot tab
3: Click on the Advanced Options button
4: Once new window open check the field Maximum memory
5: To save your changes click OK and restart your computer
Next time when you run your computer, from your desktop Right mouse click on My Computer and choose Properties. From here you can see whether your Windows 7 now uses maximum available RAM.

Garthesone reacted to Chim in Problem with the Forums' Functionality?
I don't know if it's just on my side, but I've been noticing some problems with the functionality of the forums.
(1) If I try to post a reply in a thread via the "Reply to this topic" box at the bottom of the thread ... nothing happens. The reply doesn't remotely attempt to get posted. I end up having to use the Black "Reply to this topic" BUTTON at the upper right of the page.
(2) The next issue: Well, I was planning on attaching a screen capture image to show the problem that I'm encountering, but the problem is that I'm not being allowed to attach an image because the problem IS right at that area. So, I'll try to explain the problem.
Right there at the "Attach Files" area at the bottom left of the reply box ... where the "Choose Files" BUTTON is --- some other text that appears to read "uldn't load plug" is being superimposed on the Choose Files BUTTON. This is rendering the Choose Files BUTTON non-functional.
In case it helps zero in on the problem --- I am using Windows XP Pro SP3. I am using the latest version of avast Free Anti-Virus. I am using NetZero Dial Up Internet.

Garthesone reacted to Nesivos in Brand New Version Of Wise Care 365 --: 3.0 Beta
Here is some more detailed breakdown about the Integrated video cards and the the display adapter drivers. I am listing this information only for my W8.1 Pro Updated computers since the Temp and RAM Available Widget is working fine on my one W7-SP1 AMD computer.
The Widget is working on this computer
1. Intel HD Graphics 2500 - Ivy Bridge GT1
Driver Date: 5-17-2014
Driver Version: 10.18.10.3621
The Widget stopped working on these two computers
2 Intel HD Graphics 4600 - Haswell GT2
Driver Date: 5-17-2014
Driver Version: 10-18-10.3621 (No mistake the driver version is the same on both #1 and #2)
3 Intel HD Graphics 2000 Sandy Bridge GT1
Driver Date: 3-20-2014
Driver Version: 9.17.10.3517
The one thing I did not try was a clean uninstall of Wise Care 365 Pro and Wise Memory Optimizer. By that I mean after the uninstaller finished I did not look for folders and files that may have been left over and then manually delete them. I didn't want to do it yet because I figured that method could require re-entering my license code on the reinstall unless it is kept in the registry. I just hate having to re-enter license codes on re-installs since I have had a bunch of problems doing that with other software in the past.
If I do a clean uninstall and remove all related files and folders will that require re-entering the license code when I reinstall? If so will there will be a license count problem or any other problem when I do this?

Garthesone reacted to pstein in What is "unsafe" in "Deep Scan" ?
There are two types of scans: "Fast Scan" and "Deep Scan".
Below the "Fast Scan" it is written "Only scan safe entries".
From my point of view it means that "Deep Scan" is "unsafe".
What is unsafe here?
Is a longer scan time the only disadvantage?

Garthesone reacted to jackdashack in HAVE HAD 2 TURN OFF EVERY NOTIFICATION HERE-BEING SPAMMED.
I cannot believe the forum of WiseCleaner does not know how to get rid of this spamming issue. Not saying a whole lot for the cleaning program. It's glunking up my email box. So I have had to go to my profile here and untick every email option.
I guess if I ask a question I'll just have to come back now and then to see if there is an answer.
Unless someone has another suggestion for stopping these? Never have this on 10's of other forums?

Garthesone reacted to Linkin in How to download YouTube Video For Free?
YouTube only allows users to watch and view videos on their website. Many users want to download their favorite videos to their computer so they can watch them without being connected to the Internet or so they can watch them on other devices. Below are the steps required for downloading and watching YouTube videos on your computer for free.
Go to http://www.wisevideosuite.com to download Wise Video Downloader.
Open any YouTube video page and copy the URL of the video you want to download.
Once this address has been copied, paste that URL into the URL bar and click the Download button.
Of course if you want to play the videos downloaded in multiple devices like your PC, your pad or smart phone. You are gonna need to convert them into different formats that is playable on these devices. Then the Convert feature comes in handy. It is a link to Wise Video Converter, which you can also download from http://www.wisevideosuite.com. The best thing about this converter is you don’t have to choose which format you need to convert into. Just drag and drop the video files to the corresponding big icons of devices, and then click Convert.
Notice: Not all the videos can be downloaded by Wise Video Downloader. Statistics show that more than 80% of the video files can be downloaded by this software. Please keep this software updated. By default, Wise Video Downloader will download the 1280*720 pixel video.

Garthesone reacted to jackdashack in Will Not Stop Auto-Running??
[ UPDATE: unfortunately this query has been spammed as you see if you scroll down. It's loading my Gmail Inbox and SPAM folder so I came back here and made my default as no email notification. However this has been solved if you look over the first 4 or 5 messages. With a complete un/re install. ":-Dx jack
I once scheduled the Cleaner to run Auto. I have went back into settings and un-ticked the Schedule part and anything else I can see that makes it auto run but it will not stop? It runs when the pc is idle. Do I need to remove a services or what? Task manager does not show it as starting at startup? Thanks!

Garthesone reacted to Chim in Discrepancy Between WDC and Wise Care 365 Junk Files
I mentioned this issue over on my Wise Care 365 vs. Wise Registry Cleaner thread. I thought I'd put it here in its own thread since on the surface, it looks like it MIGHT be a WDC issue instead of a Wise Care 365 issue ... although I could be wrong. Either way, now I have visual proof and more detail.
In the 2nd image attached below, you'll notice how Wise Care 365 4.5.6 managed to detect 695 Junk Files Created by Applications for a total of 92.3 MegaBytes. While it found various items first in that category ... starting with the yellow highlighted items, it was predominantly a mountain of Maxthon Cloud browser cache. Of course, I only included a micro sample of that Maxthon cache.
In the 1st image attached below, you'll notice how Wise Disk Cleaner 9.41 detected NO Junk Files. That is quite a huge discrepancy. I could be wrong in my thinking, but I would think that WDC and the Common Cleaner function in Wise Care 365 would / should work pretty much the same and yield same results or at least pretty close to the same.
True, as was mentioned in the Wise Care 365 vs. Wise Registry Cleaner thread, Wise does NOT at this time support Maxthon. However, logically, the results of this experiment seem to indicate that either WDC or the Common Cleaner function in Wise Care 365 is wrong ... or both --- and needs to be fixed to match the other app. In other words, either Wise Care 365 should NOT have detected all those 695 items as Junk Files Created by Applications ... or WDC SHOULD have detected them instead of missing them.
Oh, and also, as can be seen in the 2 images, there also seems to be a noticeable discrepancy in the Old Prefetch Data between the 2 apps. True, it's not a huge discrepancy as with the other issue, but a discrepancy nonetheless. I don't know if there is a logical explanation for that or whether that also needs to be looked into.
Sorry about how I discussed the 2nd image first instead of starting with the 1st image. It's that after submitting my topic, the order of my images was mysteriously swapped. So, I had to edit the text to match the order of the images.
