    Welcome to the WiseCleaner.com Forums!

In order to keep the forums running well, please follow these simple rules for the forums. If you have any questions or problems, please feel free to contact us [email protected].

Posts are to be made in the relevant forum. Users are asked to read the forum descriptions before posting. Users consistently posting to the wrong forum may be given a warning (see policing below). Members should post in a way that is respectful of other users. Flaming or abusing users in any way will not be tolerated and will lead to a warning. Members should remember this board is aimed at a general audience. Posting pornographic or generally offensive text, images, links, etc. will not be tolerated and will lead to a warning. Members are asked to respect the copyright of other users, sites, media, etc. Users linking to or asking for information on warez, crackz, etc. or re-printing material without permission will receive a warning and their post will be removed. Do not use your signature to link to pages that contain objectionable material. This includes, warez, cracks, pornography, pyramid schemes, referral ID's, ebay listings and requesting personal donations. Members should post in a way which is consistent with "normal writing". That is users should not post excessive numbers of emoticons, large, small or coloured text, etc. Similarly users should not SHOUT or use excessive punctuation (e.g. ! and ?) in topic titles or posts. Users consistently abusing this will be warned. Members should use an appropriate, descriptive subject when posting a new topic. Examples of bad subjects include; "Help me!", "I'm stuck!", "I've got an error!", etc. Examples of good subjects include; "Getting an TABLE FULL error upon login", "Cannot restore a backup", etc. Members are welcome to use the test forum for general "test purposes". These may include checking signatures, testing a link or image, etc. (subject to previous points on decency, warez, etc.). Spam is not tolerated here under any circumstance. This includes offering hosting services (charged and free), installation services, solicitation etc. Recruiting members for your own projects (moderators, designers, professional MOD work, etc.) is not permitted and is also considered spam. Users posting spam will be warned and their post removed. See specific item on spam and 3rd party linking for more information. Members are asked to not disclose to any 3rd party, board, or list any vulnerabilities in WiseCleaner before first notifying the developers. You should submit all finds to us. Time should be allowed for us, at least 3 working days wherever possible, to respond. The moderating, support and other teams reserve the right to edit, remove or put on moderation queue any post at any time. Please note that currently any very first post is automatically placed in the moderation queue and will be approved/disapproved according to the present Rules. The determination of what is construed as indecent, vulgar, spam, etc. as noted in these points is up to Team Members and not users. No content, or advice or requests for assistance, relating to any activity that the moderators consider to be illegal or offensive will be tolerated. Please refrain from using CAPITALIZATIONS in the topic title or when participating in threads because they will not attract attention - instead it will annoy many of the WiseCleaner Forum members. Very often we see meaningless subjects in topic title. They give no clue of what the posts are all about. The above forum rules where applicable also apply to private messaging. Abuse of the private messaging system may lead to warnings (as above) and/or the revocation of private messaging.

    To all and new members.
It will help us incredibly much if you describe what operating system you have
and perhaps its hardware. You can do it in 'Signature' box. Here is how:

    1. Top right click on your name.

    2. Select 'My Settings'.

    3. 'Signature' on the left (center)

In this way we can better take us to the 'root' of the problem and then solve it faster.

    Thank you in advance

I have WRC-9 PRO and I have a problem when I scan and clean with WRC.I noticed that each time I scanned using FAST mode the hits seemed to be the same to me,so I did the following..I restarted my comp. Opened WRC and ran the FAST scan, copied all hits and how many in each category and cleaned, waited 10 minutes (not using computer)I ran the DEEP scan doing the same as before, copy, clean etc. restarted comp. opened WRC then ran the CUSTOM scan and again doing the same, In each of the scan modes the options were exactly the same.I closed computer for 10 or so minutes.I then opened my computer, opened WRC-PRO I then did the exact same procedure once again and after this was completed I saw that again and again the results for each were exactly the same.

    Hi everybody. :-)

    First suggestions:
    - there should be a ignore button, not for each line, given that I can select items and then click on FIX.
    - make it portable
    - make it resizable
    - add maximize/minimize buttons/features (they're available in the language file)
    - About window: my translation exceeds... Make it bigger.
    - move the rescan button a bit on the left side (my translation exceeds)
    - What's the purpose of solutions:fix (or delete)? Remove "solutions:".
    - wechat, weibo, qq zone are available in the language file, but not in the program.

I have noticed for some time now that Run commands I enter (e.g., %temp%, services.msc, regedit, etc.) are wiped out when WRC is run. I can find no setting that tells it NOT to delete these. Is there some way to prevent the program from deleting Run commands?

    Hi

I recently got a new PC and was getting it set up okay.I found a way to restore the Games folder on for Windows 10(using the shell:games) command in Run.

I made copied and my games executables, and then pasted the shortcuts in my newly created Games folder. Now,i did the same for some steam games and that seemed to work.

But then when i asked Steam create a desktop shortcut for a game, and placed it in my Games folder i get a shorcut with no image attached to it.And i can't right click on it to get any options. And more importantly i can't delete this shorcut from my Games folder.

    I looked into shell:appsfolder,but i can't see the Steam dektop shortcut(3rd paragraph)there.

Does anyone know how i can delete this Steam desktop shortcut form my Games folder?.

    Thanks in advance.

If you have any question of Wise Driver Care, please read below FAQs. Maybe you can find the answer yourself.

When you create a new post, please provide more details about your problem, then we can help you solve it faster.

Q: The backup button of some devices is invalid, why?
A: If the driver is provided by Windows system, Wise Driver Care won't back up it. Because when you reinstall Windows, the driver will be installed at the same time.

    Q: What is abnormal driver?
A: An abnormal driver, it refers to you can reinstall a correct driver to fix this issue.

    Q: What is special software?
A: It refers to some special software that Some brands of computer special features require. Such as touchpad, fingerprint identification and so on.

Q: What is system software repair?
A: When Wise Driver Care update a driver, it may require some special Windows components, like VC++. If the system doesn't have it, Wise Driver Care will install it first.

Q: What is “1 device doesn't support the current OS”?
A: For example, you have a sound card on your PC and the OS is XP system, but this sound card only supports Win 7 and later system. There is no driver for XP system.

Q: When does Wise Driver Care auto create a system restore point?
A: This function is only available in Pro version, and only if you click the top right Fix button.

Q: Why does Wise Driver Care not list the restore point?
A: Because Wise Driver Care only lists the restore point created by itself. If the driver is provided by Windows system, Wise Driver Care won't back up it. Because when you reinstall Windows, the driver will be installed at the same time.

JoryikEn reacted to KNRover in 1-Click icon does nothing
Although I've had Wise Registry Cleaner on my computer for about 3 years, I never noticed the "1-click" icon setting. It is supposed to allow you to click it and WRC runs in the background. Only one problem: It doesn't work. Reason I know it isn't working is because after clicking it (and tried double-clicking it, too), I open WRC and run a deep scan. That scan finds lots of safe-go-delete items, which it shouldn't because the 1-click should have already cleaned them out.

I have the latest version (9.4.7.619). Is this a bug?

Problems of the current release (9.34.605):
Custom area: replace the scan button with the save button, to save the choices, because when I click the top-right X, the choices won't be saved.
You fixed this problem in release 9.15, but it returned in the current stable release
I don't know when this problem returned.
I'd also prefer its previous location (bottom-left corner). Auto-adjust columns (when double-clicking the column cursor) doesn't work.
I can't remember if this worked in previous releases. Tooltips don't work, when the "value name" and "key name" columns are "stretched" (i.e., always).
    They worked in previous releases.
I don't know when this problem returned. When I open WRC portable, %AppData%\Wise Euask folder is created (and it shouldn't create it, or at least it should create that folder inside WRC folder). Some entries didn't show the description.
I had got these three entries without a description (but probably I deleted them, because now I don't get them any more):
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{C79BA6D1-F7B8-4b87-A405-ED9DE29A8B6D}\AppID=
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{CEDCD345-8C2C-4928-B8C9-AE867372A7CF}\AppID=
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{D1219BD5-B542-4ab7-82CB-C89DDA9F3768}\AppID= The register window doesn't show all the strings (but the tooltips work, at least).
    "Contact us" isn't translatable.
    If possible, enlarge the entries.

JoryikEn reacted to UCanFixIt in "Mark Solved" Option Now Available to Members
    Hello all members,

The "Mark Solved" option has been activated in the Computer Trouble-Shooting Discussion Board. Now originating posters (OPs) can select their own "Best Answer."

    How it works:

Each member response to an originating poster's issue will now include a "Mark Solved" button that can only be seen by the OP (see image1). If a specific response solves the OPs issue, he/she can simply click the Mark Solved button for that specific response and it will automatically do two things:

    1. It will update the index to show the OPs issue as "Answered." (see image2)
    2. It will add the "Best Answer" to the top of the OPs post. (see image3)

This new feature could really benefit members or guests that are looking for solutions while browsing or searching the Computer Trouble-Shooting Discussion Board.

Note: The Wise Specific Product Boards do not have this feature enabled.

I just used the new auto-update function to update WRC but the old version is still shown as the installed version (same as reported for WDC).

    http://forum.wisecleaner.com/index.php?/topic/6488-wdc-update-v811-to-v812-bug/?p=13984

Now, the wording for the new auto-update feature would indicate you should never have to use the full installer again; however, this "new installer" does not update every area so the full installer is still required.

    (Description from Wise website)

    Automatic Update
Automatic update is activated, it can download the update file and install it automatically. User don't bother to download the installer file from the webpage and then install it manually anymore.

Do as you wish but this should be fixed IMHO.

    Hi all!
I would like to see some new features of WRC:
    1) Regarding the installed version of WRC (scilicet the uninstaller version): DON'T REMOVE c:\users\user-name\appdata\roaming\wise registry cleaner\backup folder and the files in it.
    2) POSSIBILITY to select/tick/tap/check all found problems in a section and ignore them in one click.
Better: select part of the entries to ignore and ignore them in one click.
    3) POSSIBILITY to ignore all sections in the custom area (at the present we need to select at least one section)
    4) Command line parameter to defragment the Windows registry ONLY.

JoryikEn reacted to alon1205 in Run the latest version of WRC and crippled the system
    Dear all.
Last night, we updated the WRC to the version 8.21.536 on the Windows 2008 R2 host.
All of the suddent it showed a lot of errors on the run, which it reported as fixed. That is when problems begun.
There is a backup feature and restore, which used, but it doesnt really help.
Looks like the environment is totallys screwed up, even if we restore backup copis of the registry from different dates in the past 1 month (there were no changes to the system).
We could not get Admin Tools to run, had to specify manually the mmc.exe is the util to open all the tools.
We can not start bunch of services, for example the print spooler give us the error:
Windows could not start the Print Spooler service on Local Computer. Error 2: The system cannot find the file specified"
The same goes for VSS and some other services. We need to make it through the day, after which we can retire the machine, the new environment is almost ready.

Does anyone explerience similar issue over the past 2-3 days with the latest version?

    Regards,
    Alex
