Chrome cache not cleaned

On my Windows 7 Starter netbook the facility to clean the Google Chrome cache is not shown - whereas this does appear in the program on my Windows XP PC.

 

Since cleaning the Chrome cache is important, is there any way of making Wise Disk Cleaner do this, rather than having to use the Chrome tool?

Which product of WiseCleaner do you use to clean chrome cache? The version?

And can you tell me your chrome version?

We test it, both wise care 365 and wise disk cleaner can scan and clean chrome cache files.

I am using Wise Disk Cleaner version 8.3.4.589 with Google Chrome 38.0.2125.111.My netbook computer uses Windows 7 Starter.

Are you sure you have installed Chrome?

Generally, if you installed chrome, wise disk cleaner will list it in the item - Surf the Internet.

Yes - I do have chrome installed. I never use Internet Explorer.

Did you changed chrome cache folder?

Generally, it is in %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Cache

Can you find it?

 

1, Click Start, enter %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default in search box, then press Enter.

2, can you find Cache folder?

The cache was not there.

 

I have re-installed Chrome and Wise Disk Cleaner does not show clean the Chrome cache.

Did you or somebody else changed the chrome settings, changed chrome cache folder? Because chrome default cache folder is %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Cache

How did you installed chrome, downloaded from official website?

Unfortunately I don't know how the cache disappeared, nor where Chrome was originally downloaded from.

 

Chrome was reinstalled from the official Google site

Can you help us to do some tests to find the reason?

Install CCleaner, right click on Google Chrome, click Analyze, does it find your Chrome cache files?

This thread from the CCleaner Forum might explain the issue.  Apparently Google Chrome stores its history and stuff in "the cloud", not on the local computer.

Unfortunately I can't carry out the tests on Chrome as I replaced it with Firefox.
