wisecleaner_admin
You can try following steps: Stop the Windows Installer service and then use Windows Update… 1. Click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and select Run as Administrator. 2. At the Command Prompt window type net stop msiserver , and press Enter: Note: This will effectively stop the Windows Installer service. This service will load-on-demand so manually stopping it does not adversely affect the computer. 3. Launch Windows Update, and then attempt to install the previously failed updates. jaimie
Yes, I went to the link, and I wnt into my system command and typed what was written, even tried doing it different ways, like doing it all as the article showed me, and then I tried doing it and restarting the computer. I even downloaded the automatic fixer, and ran it. Just to make sure I was doing everything correctly, I even turned off my Firewall. I was able to download the updates, but when I tried to install them, I kept getting the same error codes.
xilolee
What was the fix-it/troubleshooter response? Did you try also to launch sfc /scannow from an elevated command prompt? If yes, what was the final message? Did you try the checksur utility?
jaimie
when i did the checksur utility this is what came back after the download,....Hotfix for Windows (KB947821) not installed, and yes I did do the elevated command promt, the final message was start sucesseful or something in those words, I forgot once I closed the screen but it did say something similar.
