wisecleaner_admin
Hi, How do you know Windows Update don't install these updates? Do you get any error message or error code? You can try this way to solve it: Open Control Panel-->Security Center-->Automatic Updates, select Automatic (recommended)
Ricky91124
It goes thru the whole install process and it says failed behind each update then the next window it says these updates were not installed and all of the updates are in bold letters in the window

xilolee
Have you got a refresh/reset partition from which you can recover your Windows xp? Or a system image?
Ricky91124
How do I check for a system image or partition? Thank you
xilolee
This is only an example; some vendors like dell install a recovery partition on your system that you could use to reset your system to its initial state: http://www.dell.com/support/troubleshooting/us/en/19/KCS/KcsArticles/ArticleView?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&docid=DSN_181316 You could try to search your PC if you have a recovery partition, or on your vendor website. There are other complicated methods to reinstall Windows xp, anyway, since your problem is Windows update, I'd try first the Microsoft fixit: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058
