werlo53
Try this way: 1, Click Start menu, type gpedit.msc in searching box, open Local Group Policy Editor 2, Click Computer Configuration--->Administrative Templates--->System--->System Restore, Double Turn off Configuration--->click Disable then click OK to save settings. xilolee
Hi werlo53! If you are not using the PRO version of Windows 8.1 (like it seems from your message), save the following code in a text file as restoreSystemRestore.REG (or the name that you prefer, but with .reg extension!), double click the file and add it to the registry. Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\SystemRestore] Keep us informed.
