xilolee
Hi milka. Possible solutions: 1) Gadgets seem to be incompatible with MSIE11. You can consider to downgrade to MSIE10 or to remove gadgets completely: Gadgets have been discontinued (click) 2) This problem could occur if you have modified the Windows text sixe from SMALL to MEDIUM (from control panel, Appearance and Personalization, Adjust screen resolution). 3) Someone has got problems with the weather app, hence you could try to remove it from settings.ini, like explained here (winhelponline.com - click) 4) Open task manager, restart sidebar.exe (if restart doesn't exist, terminate sidebar.exe and re-launch it from start-run: sidebar.exe) 5) From Desktop gadgets: frequently asked questions If you uninstalled gadgets that came with Windows, you can restore them to the Desktop Gadget Gallery: Click Start, and then click Control Panel. In the search box, type Restore Gadgets, and then click Restore desktop gadgets installed with Windows. 6) From an elevated command prompt: c:\progra~2\Windows Sidebar\sidebar.exe /showGadgets7) From an elevated command prompt: del %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows Sidebar\Cache\*.*8) Start, Control Panel, Programs, Turn Windows features on or off, untick the gadgets, click ok, restart your machine. Then re-enable the gadgets and restart the machine. 9) Check your hard disk for errors in Windows 7 10) From an elevated command prompt: sfc /scannow11) Only if you have disabled UAC, copy the following code in notepad, save the file as sidebar-UAC.reg and add the file to your registry: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Sidebar] [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Sidebar\Settings] "AllowElevatedProcess"=dword:00000001 Keep us updated.
