Unfortunately the MS Fixit didn't fix the problem so I tried to use the manual fix but three of the dll files had some kind of problem and ten others failed to load. I am therefore no further on unless you have some ideas as to where to get 'good' dll files. This is when runing the regsvr32.exe commands e.g. regsvr32.exe mshtml.dll. UCanFixIt Posted January 4, 2014 Report Share Posted January 4, 2014 If none of the previous suggestions have worked, you may have some component store corruption. To address this issue, you must run sfc /scannow from an elevated command prompt. This will takle some time to run so be patient and (hopefully) those bad or corrupted dlls will be replaced by known good ones: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
