xilolee
Hi visman34! Inside control panel, programs, programs and features, turn windows features on or off (on the left), media features, check if windows media player is ticked:1) If it is ticked, untick it and click apply/ok. If your pc "wants" to reboot, reboot it.Later, tick windows media player and click apply/ok. If your pc "wants" to reboot, reboot it.You can now check if WMP is correctly working.2) If it is NOT ticked, tick it and click apply/ok. If your pc "wants" to reboot, reboot it.You can now check if WMP is correctly working. If previous operations won't work, try to launch sfc /scannow (from an elevated command prompt - started as an administrator).Wait until it finishes (about 40 minutes?) and check its results:1) if everything is ok, no problem (well, from the point of view of SFC, at least!).2) if it shows that it has repaired something, launch this command from an elevated command prompt (just for curiosity):findstr /c:"[sR]" %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log > c:\users\YOUR-USER-NAME\desktop\sfcdetails.txt And show them...!!! You can now check if WMP is correctly working. Hope this helps!
