Jim Rockford
Using Windows 10 I followed these instructions to the t. 1. Click the link below to download and run this tool to stop the protection of the Wise Folder Hider.https://downloads.wisecleaner.com/tools/DelDriver.zip 2. After running this tool you need to restart the PC, please save your important files before restarting. 3. Then uninstall the Wise Folder Hider Did these multiple times, but I cannot get rid of these folders from the two external drives. It is happening on both drives. I don't want to delete them just like that because I see that they happen to be pointers to the original data. If I delete these dot folders, I am sure I will lose my data and I certainly don't want to lose it. I not only uninstalled WFH and remove all folders, but I also cleared the registry of anything to do with "Wise". Still, no luck. Also, the Recycle bin, System Volume Information , and the "...." folders are greyed out, though I can access them both. This was not the case before I started using WFH. (images pf each of the USB drives are attached - the two drives have been mirrored for years. ie, I did not clone the drive after hiding the folders with WFH) As well, after doing all this, it still asks me for the previous password!!! I cannot understand how it remembers that.
Jim Rockford
I guess I would get a better response from a cemetery! I have changed my mind about purchasing any Wise product.
wisecleaner_admin
Dear user, Sorry about that. Please try this: 1, Please download and run the following tool to delete the "...." folder: https://downloads.wisecleaner.com/tools/DelFHPath.zip 2, Find and expand the pendrive until you see the special folder named "..." 3, Continue expanding the folder "..." until you see the hidden file. 3, Right-click on the hidden file, choose "Move to...", and save the file in a different location. 4, Then you can delete the "..." folder.
