This topic will cover all major items in the creation of a new giveaway thread on WiseCleaner Third-Party Giveaways Forum. Intended for new and/or inexperienced members, this thread can be your guidelines if you wish to share some free goodies with our community.

 

Some important rules you need to know before progressing:

1. Read the Forum Rules first.
2. Only software giveaways are allowed. Abstain from posting anything else.
3. This is a security-focused forum, limit your giveaways to security, privacy, and system maintenance software.
4. Provide the link to the giveaway promotion site and the origin of the giveaway.
5. Check if the giveaway is already posted on our forums.
6. Click to post a new thread.

 

Giveaway Thread Title

Briefly describe what the giveaway is about with the most important information, including the name and version of the software, duration, free or ?% off.

Example: 1 Year Wise Care 365 6.6.5 License for Free.

 

Giveaway Thread Prefix

Enter the type of your giveaway thread in the Tags option and choose it again in the Item prefix option.

• Unlimited:
  Giveaway that doesn't have any obvious time or license number limitations and the giveaway doesn't fall into any other subcategory below.


• Ending Soon:
  Some sites host giveaways that last for one or for a couple of days only. Use this prefix for those.


• Extended Trial:
  Licenses are usually distributed with a 1 year validation period. Use this prefix if the licenses given away are valid for 3,6,9 months for example.


• Promotional:
  Paid products that became free during the promo period. Usually conducted around holidays.


• External Giveaway:
  Contests hosted on other sites that are giving away 50 licenses minimum.


• Discount:
  Select this option if the software you share is not free but requires a lower price.


• Raffle:
  You can run a raffle on the WiseCleaner Giveaways Forum. That way, participants will need to complete the task you specify and please draw the winners at random.

 

Description

There's no need to thoroughly review a product that is on the giveaway. What the product is with 100-200 words, its key features and one screenshot is enough. You can additionally provide a product homepage and the direct download link for the product that is on the giveaway that can be found on the product home page.

Add detailed ways or steps to get the giveaway. Common forms are all accepted, like a pre-activated installer, URL, or license codes directly. Just tell the participants what exactly they need to do to get the giveaway.

If you've found the giveaway or promo that is sharing the license keys for certain products and you are sure that the shared license key is the same for everyone you can post the license key in the description and put it in the spoiler. Remember to state how many codes can get, whether it’s an installer, URL, or license codes.

When and how long the giveaway will be also needed to be clarified in the thread. We use a unified Pacific time zone to make it much easier for different users all over the world to participate. Write down clearly the time of the giveaway campaign, the time to activate the software, and the time to use it.
