SAPman
My screen goes black after I logon to Windows 7 or the screen appears for a short time then goes black. Rebooting sometimes helps, turning monitor off and back on sometimes helps for a little while or if I leave the monitor on and walk away it goes black. Already checked power settings and it is not hibernating. This cames out of no where. There were no software installs or updates, it just started. Ran Glary Utilities, Wise Care, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, Spybot, Super Anti-Spyware and Microsoft security essentials. wisecleaner_admin
Generally, the monitor power light has three status: working (usually is green), sleep or Standby (usually is orange), off (not light) So I want to know, when your screen goes to black, what color is it - the power light? The Windows system is still running, or start to sleep/hibernate? You can do following two tests: 1, Restart PC, press F8 to run Safe Model If the screen doesn't turn black, you should uninstall the video card driver, then install the latest version. 2, Change another monitor If the screen doesn't turn black, means your used monitor is broken, you need a new monitor.
