LuciePrabs reacted to copakeman in can't fix registry entry
I am running win 7, ie11, both at the current latest levels. I have not installed any new programs in many months.

registry cleaner detect a hit under File Types

    expanding it shows:

    ,dds      HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\MIME\Database\Content Type\image/vnd.ms-dds\Extention

Start Clean does not fix it. i've searched and cannot find what is really wrong with that entry so I could edit it. I cannot detect any problems with my system, but that doesn't mean nothing is wrong. I first detected this 4 days ago.

question is how can I repair this entry ? I know how to use regedit.

    Thank you for any replies.

    Hello,

Re: Startup Manager window (under System Tuneup)

I would like to suggest that in addition to on/off button, it will be possible to use a third option a.k.a. Delayed Startup.
The Delayed Startup could be: 1 min; 2 min; 3 min; etc.

    To all and new members.
It will help us incredibly much if you describe what operating system you have
and perhaps its hardware. You can do it in 'Signature' box. Here is how:

    1. Top right click on your name.

    2. Select 'My Settings'.

    3. 'Signature' on the left (center)

In this way we can better take us to the 'root' of the problem and then solve it faster.

    Thank you in advance

LuciePrabs reacted to Chim in Problem with the Forums' Functionality?
I don't know if it's just on my side, but I've been noticing some problems with the functionality of the forums.

    (1) If I try to post a reply in a thread via the "Reply to this topic" box at the bottom of the thread ... nothing happens. The reply doesn't remotely attempt to get posted. I end up having to use the Black "Reply to this topic" BUTTON at the upper right of the page.

    (2) The next issue: Well, I was planning on attaching a screen capture image to show the problem that I'm encountering, but the problem is that I'm not being allowed to attach an image because the problem IS right at that area. So, I'll try to explain the problem.

Right there at the "Attach Files" area at the bottom left of the reply box ... where the "Choose Files" BUTTON is --- some other text that appears to read "uldn't load plug" is being superimposed on the Choose Files BUTTON. This is rendering the Choose Files BUTTON non-functional.

In case it helps zero in on the problem --- I am using Windows XP Pro SP3. I am using the latest version of avast Free Anti-Virus. I am using NetZero Dial Up Internet.

ive just got it today. it replaces the previous wise products such as monitor, disk cleaner and registry cleaner. and so far I like it. the interface is very easy to understand..and even though I didn't request the portable version, I added the regular install mode onto the flash drive.
but one problem, how to not allow program to create a restore point after slimming down?

LuciePrabs reacted to pstein in What is "unsafe" in "Deep Scan" ?
There are two types of scans: "Fast Scan" and "Deep Scan".

Below the "Fast Scan" it is written "Only scan safe entries".
From my point of view it means that "Deep Scan" is "unsafe".

    What is unsafe here?

Is a longer scan time the only disadvantage?
