I used Wise Registry Cleaner 4.41 in Command line with "wiseregcleaner.exe -a -all" and WRC ignores the file exlusion.dat.

In exclusion.dat I have "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT", "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE", "HKEY_USERS" and "HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG"

WRC delete keys in HKLM and HKCR in spite of exclusion.dat

I use Windows 7 SP1 x86.

I used Wise Registry Cleaner with command line in session administrator on Windows Server 2008 R2 with file Exclusion.dat.

Exclusion.dat contains "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT", "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE", "HKEY_USERS" and "HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG"

I used this command "WiseRegCleaner.exe -a -all" and i obtains multiple errors on Windows.

When I clic on Computer in Start Menu, I obtain error message :

"No program is associated with this file to perform this action. Install a program or, if it is already done, create an association in the Control Panel Default Programs."

When i right clic on context menu on file reg or file ini, I obtain this message :

"No program is associated with this file to perform this action. Install a program or, if it is already done, create an association in the Control Panel Default Programs."

And i double clic on folder in explorer, I obtain also this message :

"No program is associated with this file to perform this action. Install a program or, if it is already done, create an association in the Control Panel Default Programs."

Thanks for your replies

Hey e.germon,

Thank you for your feedback.
1, When you restore the registry, are these issues  fixed?
2, You said the file exclusion.dat contain "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT", "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE", "HKEY_USERS" and "HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG". But I checked your attached file (WIN-U2FCL412QPA 20-03-2015 170645.reg.txt), it contains "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE", "HKEY_USERS" and "HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG".

Can you export and send your exclusion file to me?

Your exclusion file is correct.

Which version do you use?

I use wise registry cleaner 8.42 to test, import your exclusion file, and used this command "WiseRegCleaner.exe -a -all", it works well, doesn't clean "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT", "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE", "HKEY_USERS" and "HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG"

I use Wise Registry Cleaner 8.41, version 8.42 isn't available.

When user is member of users groups, the exclusion.dat works but when the user is member of Administrators group, the exclusion.dat doesn't works on Windows 7 x86 SP1 and Windows Server 2008 SP2 and Windows Server 2008 R2

Okay, I see.

Wisecleaner products don't support multi-user, the config file is only effective with current user.

So, user A change the WRC settings, when user B log in with his own account, the WRC settings is the old, different with user A.

File config.ini and Exclusion.dat doesn't change when the user log in session because, I use a ps1 script who use WRC in command line.

In Windows 7, when I log with administrator loggin, it ignores exclusion.dat

I have 3 account in Windows 7 (one admin and 2 users)

I log in with command line and exclusion.dat with 3 account.

I have a script ps1 at the start of the session in "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup"

In admin session, file exclusion.dat doesn't work
