I have also recieved related errors i.e. 8024d00f, 0x802400b, 0x80070057. Windows Update Agent 7.6.7600.320 Installation date: 2/14/2015 4:54 PM Installation status: Failed Error details: Code 80070002. I have tried the Microsoft fix-it and installin the update manually from Microsofts site. Nothing works Operating system:Windows 7 Ultimate (32 bit) Service Pack 1 System root: C:Windows Available physical memory: 2046 MB CPU: Intel® Pentium® 4 CPU 2.80GHz Drive Info: C: 149.00 GB Internet Explorer: 11.0 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

xilolee Posted February 18, 2015 Report Share Posted February 18, 2015 Download and run System Update Readiness Tool for Windows 7 (KB947821) [October 2014] From an elevated command prompt, launch (Windows installation cd could be necessary): sfc /scannowWait till it finishes (15-50 minutes).If the final result is equal to Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations or equal to Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them. Details are included in the CBS.Log %WinDir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log, launch this command: copy %SYSTEMROOT%\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log %userprofile%\desktop\CheckSUR.txtAfter it, you should find checkSUR.txt on your desktop: post it here. Instead if the final result of the SFC TOOL is equal to Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.
