I can not turn off my PC

My PC running window XP sp3,Now I can not turn off my PC,must use the button.

When I click Star or Restart still no function,but sleep and standby can work. Time before I installation a software "Wise Registry Cleaner" ,at that time it fix the problem but after 3 week can not.

Try this and see if it works for you.

1)create a shortcut (on the desktop) rightclick/new/shortcut.

2)Paste this in the box. %windir%\system32\shutdown.exe -s -t 0 and click next.

3)It should already show shutdown for the name. Click finish and you should see it on the desktop. See it that shuts your PC all the way off.

Another alternative method:

 

1. Click Start, and then click Log Off.
2. Click Switch User.
3. Click Turn off computername.
4. Click Turn Off or click Restart.
5. At the prompt that warns that other people are logged on to this computer, click Yes.
