PC XP Pro Freezes, Explorer hour glass, clock

Recommended Posts

This has occured 20+ times in past few days. I can't move forward, as it comes to a complete standstill. Nothing works, Windows Explorer has the hour glass of doom, the clock w/second hand stops for 10+ minutes of no activity. I push the off button in front at great peril left with no choice.

Running Win XP Pro, w/Immunet and MSE running. Can't install Malicious Tool update.

IE site froze for 5+ minutes w/no activity at all.

I've run many diagnostics, spent 9+ hours w/AntiMalware bytes, 13 probs, Quarantined.

SpyBot ran about an hour, had nothing after AMB.

Run at every shut down a combo of Wise Disk Cleaner, at 81.5 GB so far! CCleaner, ATF, AusLogics Defrag. Periodically, Wise 365.

Defrag Optimized about 1-2 times per week, many times the past few days to resolve this problem.

I'm smarter than the average bear.

Have Win in tray trying to update Malicious Tool, and 5+ times today it tells me that it can't be installed after merely a few seconds. I know better. I'm in trouble, and don't know why.

Run Safe mode, sometimes with debugging, and nothing changes.

I'm really hurting with this.

Thanks

Sorry I cannot understand your problem clearly.

1, Do you means that your PC  freezes always. Windows Explorer has no respond.

2, You cannot install Malicious Tool update. Why? Error message?

3, Your system info: Win XP x86 or x64?

Physical Memory 1 GB or 2 GB or ...?
