KENETICS Posted September 24, 2013 Report Share Posted September 24, 2013 when I try to open a program using any desk top short cut I receive a message saying: this file coes not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Set Associations control panel. How do I do that?? WiseCleaner Posted September 25, 2013 Report Share Posted September 25, 2013 You can try this way. 1, Right-click the shortcut icon, click Properties-----Shortcut---Open File Location, double-click the .exe file to run the program. 2, If this can run the program, delete its desktop shortcut icon, right-click the .exe file, click Send to---Desktop (create shortcut) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
