Battery not charging

Recommended Posts

My Gateway laptop computer battery is not working. My computer works while plugged in, but the battery is completely drained, even though is shows 63% (see image). I've searched for troubleshooting and repair suggestions...all suggesting removing/reinstalling the battery related drivers through device manager. This has not helped at all. I have a feeling it is something more than just needing a new battery, but was wondering if you would have any other suggestions. I have Windows Vista Home Premium.
