Oliver
Again thank you very much for your advice. -I ran Malwarebytes anti malware and spyhunter and removed any dangerous entries - the sfc /scannow procedure and restart brought no improvements -Yes I tried the right click in d the regedit window (left window and right window) and didn´t find the entries you´ve posted - services procedure I checked as you descibed. I changed entry fom "automatic (with delay)" to "automatic". "start" buttun was grey as you showd in screenshot above -Microsoft security essentials also cannot be updated the feeling grows that I´m not master in my house. I think about reinstalling the system, but it´s always such a big piece of work.
WiseCleaner
Hi, you can follow those steps to try: 1, Modify those 3 services's startup type as "automatic" (Windows update, Background Intelligent Transfer Service, DCOM Server Process Luncher), then restart system, try to check update. 2, You can update MSE by manual. Download its update package and install it. Then restart system.
