    Hello all members,
     
    The "Mark Solved" option has been activated in the Computer Trouble-Shooting Discussion Board. Now originating posters (OPs) can select their own "Best Answer."
     
    How it works:
     
    Each member response to an originating poster's issue will now include a "Mark Solved" button that can only be seen by the OP (see image1). If a specific response solves the OPs issue, he/she can simply click the Mark Solved button for that specific response and it will automatically do two things:
     
    1. It will update the index to show the OPs issue as "Answered." (see image2)
    2. It will add the "Best Answer" to the top of the OPs post. (see image3)
     
    This new feature could really benefit members or guests that are looking for solutions while browsing or searching the Computer Trouble-Shooting Discussion Board.
     
    Note: The Wise Specific Product Boards do not have this feature enabled.

    I just used the new auto-update function to update WRC but the old version is still shown as the installed version (same as reported for WDC).

    Now, the wording for the new auto-update feature would indicate you should never have to use the full installer again; however, this "new installer" does not update every area so the full installer is still required.

    Automatic Update
    Automatic update is activated, it can download the update file and install it automatically. User don't bother to download the installer file from the webpage and then install it manually anymore.
     
    Do as you wish but this should be fixed IMHO.

    Hello all,
     
    I just installed v8.11 (over top of a previous version) and the executable icon "disappeared" from view in the programs folder:
     

     
     
    The Solution (for me) was simply to rebuild the icon cache. The affected OS was Windows 7 SP1 fully updated via Windows Update (as of 6/9/2014).
     
    I also had the same issue with my program update using Wise Registry Cleaner v8.12.
     
    I did try a second reinstall with the same results. The root cause remains unknown; however, since I run a very tight ship, I have to believe that someone else may have noticed this issue as well (or maybe it is just me).
