    Those strings were already translated (see my email dated 14/12/15 1:30: Italian translations pack --- IphoneCare and Fastimizer excluded.).

    Anyway new translations are always welcome (they could be better than mine). ;)

    Like I said, I verified the new version.

    The only problem still present appears after a scan: when changing language, strings remain with the previous language; when I hover the cursor over them, the language changes.

     

    By the way, well done! ;)

     

    I may suggest other improvements:

    - in advanced cleaner, the last three columns don't work in the right way (enlarge/reduce column width).

    - in slimming system, all columns are fixed... I'd prefer if the last column is a bit larger to be more descriptive with the suggestions (but better if they weren't fixed).

    - when using the standard user, WDC will scan the administrator's folders and will save reports and clean-with-1-click in administrator's desktop, instead of scanning standard user's folders and save reports and clean-with-1-click in standard user's desktop.

    Hey xiolee,

    1, Minimize, Maximize, Close buttons translations

    My developer colleague told me, these 3 buttons are using Windows system language, so, they can't change to another language.

    If your OS is English, they will always be English.

     

    The following entries still exist in the English.ini:

     

    ButtonYes=Yes
ButtonNo=No
ButtonOK=Ok
ButtonMinimize=Minimize
ButtonMaximize=Maximize
ButtonClose=Close
ButtonRestore=Restore
ButtonMenu=Menu

    What should be the purpose of ButtonMinimize? And ButtonMaximize? And ButtonClose? And ButtonRestore?

    I don't have WDC8 but I still have WRC8 and those buttons are translated:

    (By the way, I've now noticed this problem exists also in WRC9 BETA, i.e. the tooltips of those buttons are translated in WRC8 but are not translated in WRC9)

     

    2, Only scan 'Custom' problem

     

    I don't think that should work in that way: it is counter-intuitive.

    3, Minimize, Maximize buttons translations - I don't find this problem in v9.11, maybe it has been fixed.

    5, Only scan 'Custom' problem - It relates your custom Type, using your custom file as an example, you define the file Type as Trash, all customized clean items (the result) will be displayed in Trash.

    A few years ago, my computer did not create dump files because of the processor overheating: the power supply fan was not spinning.

    Did you try to remove the dust inside your machine? And to check fans? (Be VERY careful, or bring your machine to the assistance!!!)

    Are you overclocking or underclocking?

    PORTABLE version bugs, all MODEs:

    • The "clean with 1-click" problem (wrong language and no tooltips) will appear when using the portable version.

      It doesn't appear in the installed version.

    • It seems the memory leak problem will appear when:

      - using the portable version

      - pagefile.sys is disabled

      - every options is ticked

      - usercustom.ini is used with a lot of customized rules... the more rules are present, the more the problem will be visible

      It doesn't appear in the installed version.

    • ButtonMinimize, ButtonMaximize, ButtonClose, ButtonRestore and probably also ButtonMenu aren't translated (the tooltip appears in English instead than in my language, I can't verify menu because it is menu also in Italian).

      I don't know where I can check ButtonYes, ButtonNo and ButtonOK.

    PORTABLE version bugs, CLEAR MODE:
    • The string "Cleanup your computer regularly." isn't present in the English.ini, hence it can't be translated in other languages.

      The same is also valid for "Custom" - "Scan customized entries" and all strings in "Support center".

    • When I select "Custom" only, WDC won't scan it.

      This works as expected in classic mode.

    • (After a scan) When changing language, strings remain with the previous language; when I hover the cursor over them, the language changes.
    • After a scan, "scan again" button will appear next to the clean button.

      When I click it, I expect WDC to scan again... Instead it clears the screen and I must click the scan button.

      This works as expected in classic mode.

    • WDC_report function is broken: (after a scan) I can right-click everywhere but the EXPORT button won't appear.

      In classic mode, I can right-click everywhere and the export button appears.

      ALSO: if I click on a section, the create-report function will appear only if I click on a result, BUT the WDC_report will show results only for that section.

      How can we save all results?

      In classic mode, all results will appear in the report.

    Ok, I've seen your video and I've tried the installed version.
    I obtain your same results when I use the installed version, but I'm used to utilize the portable one (and used to uninstall the first).

    The "clean with 1-click" problem (wrong language) will appear when using the portable version.

    It seems the memory leak problem will appear when:
    - using the portable version
    - pagefile.sys is disabled
    - every options is ticked
    - usercustom.ini is used with a lot of customized rules... the more rules are present, the more the problem will be visible

    I did my tries with UAC at its minimum level, DEP OptIn, hibernation (and fast startup) disabled, so those settings shouldn't be the problem because I usually have set UAC at its maximum level, DEP AlwaysOn and hibernation disabled, i.e. I tried both configurations.

    I hope this helps you to fix those problems in Wise Disk Cleaner (and WiseCare365 should be fixed as a consequence)! ^_^

    Hi bre. :)

     

    1) Plus it's two days now that I sent an email and no response.

    2) I don't know if Wise is dead or what. Are they still in business?

    3) I see this forum isn't used much either so I'm worried about giving them money.

     

    1) They don't work friday afternoon, saturday and sunday.

    2) Wise is alive and they are still in business.

    3) The forum is used, just check the dates of the topics in the other sub-forums.

    Or how much they update their software, in download center (click).

     

    They'll probably reply you between tomorrow and Wednesday.

    I saw they're active (in this forum) between 3AM and 12PM (Italian/European time), i.e. 10 hours from now (17:00 --> 5PM o'clock here in Italy).

     

    I could likely help you to know what type of license you have got if you'll show me the renewal notice here.

    If you shouldn't know how to do it, read How to make screenshots (aka snapshots) and post them here in this forum, either through the forum itself or through Wise PC 1st Aid (click).

    Nothing changed with your special version.

     

    1) I've seen it. I'm using the portable version and it is the last version 9.06.635.

    When I change windows language preferences, "Clean with 1-click" shows its strings in Italian.

    BUT if I change WiseDiskCleaner language from Italian to English, close it and I'll use "Clean with 1-click", the strings will remain in Italian, instead to be shown in English.

    Hence WDC checks windows language preferences instead of its language preferences.

    IMO, WDC should check its own language preferences (if I set WDC to italian, I want to see every functions in Italian... Without regard to windows language; if I set WDC to Aramaic, I want to see every functions in Aramaic ;)... Without regard to windows language).

    2) Did you try without pagefile.sys?

    I've seen how you changed the usercustom.ini: what's the problem in having all folders in one line?

    I've checked your guide about it and there was a similar line.

    The log file only indicated a cleaning up of one file -  "Cleaning up instance tags for file 0 x 5875c".  No other errors or "cleaning up" in the log.

     

    You've gotten also:

    My OS info: Windows 10 Pro v1511, build 10586.71, CPU x4 640 2.69GHz, RAM 8GB

    I also set up a UserCustom.ini file, the size is 130KB

    Then, I use WDC 9 to scan more than 10 times, but the memory usage has no changes. You can check the video. If you can, please send your usercustom.ini to me, I will test it again. Thanks.

    I have got this problem two times (with advanced cleaner of WDC and WCare365), but I can't remember how I solved it the first time.
    The second happened when I have used some defrag tools: I think they had corrupted the MFT (master file table), even though I'm not totally sure those programs were the culprits.
    Solved with two or three chkdsk /R (and before that, tried various other things: I didn't want to reset/refresh/put an old system image!!!).

    Sorry, I didn't understand.
    If there is a BSOD, and if you have set the virtual memory/pagefile.sys (in c:, i.e. the system partition), you should find a minidump file in c:\windows\minidump\... As an example: 021516-4250-01.dmp.
    You could find c:\windows\memory.dmp, if windows "decided" to create it.

    I mean when I click it, i.e. when I use the one-click function, those problems appears in the one-click window.

     

    8, Memory leak problem.

        Sorry, we don't occur this problem. How is your virtual memory (page file size)?

    When the pagefile is present the problem doesn't appear, but I see RAM between 90% and 95%.

    When it is not present (No paging file), the problem will appear after x (10?) scans... When there is a usercustom.ini set by the user, the problem could appear also after only a scan (it depends on how many custom searches are set in the usercustom.ini; with mine, it appears after two scans).

    The pagefile.sys MUST be present on the system partition (that is usually C:\).

    If it had been disabled in the past, or if it is not present, you can set the pagefile from the same path at point 1 (i.e., open SystemPropertiesAdvanced - Control Panel\System and Security\System - Advanced system settings).

    Click the settings... button (on your screen) under the performance frame, select the advanced tab, click the Change... button and set the values of your virtual memory = pagefile.sys - then click set and ok..

    They could be equal.

    The minimum size is 16MB (on Windows 8.1 x64 - Windows 10 x64).

    Honestly I read this topic but I didn't understand the problems you obtained (hence I preferred to wait and see what WiseCleaner_Admin replied to you).

    By the way, could you explain better them?

    Have you published your solutions to those problems in ccleaner forum?

    Two other problems:
    1) When WDC is scanning, there is written Scaning (it miss an N).
    2) The RAM is filled constantly during a scan (memory is not released: memory leak?).
    More scans bring to a completely filled RAM.
    The problem is more visible when the pagefile.sys is disabled and when a usercustom.ini has been set by the user (me, in this case).
    In this last case, the system starts complaining for the memory and, if I won't immediately close the program, windows will become unstable:

    Task Category: Resource Exhaustion Diagnosis Events
    Keywords: Events related to exhaustion of system commit limit (virtual memory).
    Sample text: "Windows successfully diagnosed a low virtual memory condition. The following programs consumed the most virtual memory: WiseCare365.exe (4736) consumed 275877888 bytes, MsMpEng.exe [...]"

     

    The same happens also with WDC released version (i.e., non-beta) and WCare365 (beta and non-beta).

     

    Tested on windows 10 home x64, pagefile.sys enabled, DEP optin, hibernation enabled, UAC at minimum level (not disabled).

    And also with my normal configuration (pagefile.sys disabled, hibernation disabled, dep alwayson, uac at highest level).

    New problems (in clear mode):

    1) custom - scan customized entries

    The entries won't appear after the scan, but in the report they are present (and I think they would be deleted, if I clicked on clean).

    2) when changing language, strings remain with the previous language; when I hover the cursor over them, the language changes.

     

    Old problems still present:

     

    • I've already reported the following problem in WiseCare365 topic, but it is still present: %localappdata%\Microsoft\Windows\WebCache\*.log files are displayed twice in the results and they should be present only once.
    • Auto-run (clean with 1-click) isn't displayed in the selected language (i.e., Italian, in my case). The two icons (facebook and twitter) on it don't show the tooltip.
    • After a scan, "scan again" button will appear next to the clean button.

      When I click it, I expect WDC to scan again... Instead it clears the screen and I must click the scan button.

    • WDC_report function is broken: I can right-click everywhere but the EXPORT button won't appear.
    • If I click on a section, it will appear only if I click on a result, but then the WDC_report will show non-coherent results.

      Example: 10 junk files (9 temporary files, 1 MS IE cache), 4 traces (3 windows system, 1 windows components).

      I click MS IE Cache.

      Report will show all results, but it will show "1 files, a total of 3,5 KB, were found." before junk files and will show "1 traces were found." before traces.
