Apparently this error is related to using ipv6.

To correct the error, you need to remove ipv6 by doing this:
Go to "network Places" and look at properties of connections.
Aside of "Client for Microsoft Networks", "File and Printer Sharing...", "Microsoft TCP/IP", etc., there is an entry with the name "Microsoft TCP/IP version 6". Just uninstall this and the problem should be gone.
You may need to reboot.
