file format shown

dear sir,

i have a problems on my computer. when open my computer it shows file formats. (for example, 01.jpg, 300 spatans.avi, 7262.txt)

 

as soon as posible you can reply for this problems.

Please do the following to hide the file type extensions:

 

For Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows Server 2003
  1. Start Windows Explorer, you can do this by opening up any folder.
  2. Click Tools, and then click Folder Options.
  3. Scroll down and then click Folder and search options.
  4. Click the View tab.
  5. Scroll down until you notice Hide extensions for known file types, check this line by clicking the check box.
  6. Click OK
