iroc8
I have an old icon from a file that has been deleted a long time ago. Now I can't get rid of the icon because it says there is no file. WiseCleaner
You might try this way, in 'Search' box of computer 'Start', search a folder names 'GPEDIT.MS ', then 'User Configuration','Administrative Template', 'Desktop', 'Remove Computer icon on the desktop'. iroc8
Apparently that's not working. When I do a search for that folder I get two references in a music folder for webpages both referring to a Windows 2003 installation.
WiseCleaner
Please make a screenshot about your issue to further your solution. It should contains the dead icon and that prompt message.
