Hi, I have a laptop and bothe Acer running vista basic service pack 2 pc over the last few weeks I have seen crash after crash followed by an unresponsive system, when I attempt to close down, the machines hang at the " Shutting Down" screen, Today I left one "shutting down" for over 6 hours and the screen remained the same, I have to crash out of the system via start button. This is strange as my machines should turn off after 1 hour, then when i reboot the screen goes to the boot screen which shows boot ans system options both these work. I also have problems dowloading programs with invalid file name, directory name, or syntax error changing the file name makes no difference. When I try to open or dowload wisecare 365, or malwarebytes or attempt to download new versions gets the same errors followibg the download. I have tried to flash the programs from memory stick with same issues both moving the file and opening from folder fail. Avast runs a clean full system scan showing no infection, spybot comess up clean too.
