This is a follow on from Windows Defender Error!, I run some registry alterations and I can't connect to Wi fi. The Wi fi Button is greyed out therefore I can't detect Wi fi. Operating system:Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit) System root: C:\Windows Available physical memory: 3766 MB CPU: Intel® Celeron® CPU U3600 @ 1.20GHz Drive Info: C: 452.97 GB Internet Explorer: 9.0

Thanks for file, bit uncertain whether I should have run it. The problem with my Windows Defender is it doesn't exist. I have another issue now and I have lost my WIFI connection completely. The routine I run up there disabled my WI FI network card. I think it has. Could you explain how to turn it back on? I have had to reconnect with mobile broadband. In all honesty I am out out of my depth executing the commands in the .bat routine. However if you could advise how to turn on my WI FI I will be happy with that.

Thanks, I have tried your instructions and Windows Defender does not appear in the services list, whereas Windows Firewall does just so you can be reassured I am in the right place. Do you have any other suggestions, please?

I got infected by virus Reveton!Ink recently. The upshot is I can't run Windows Defender anymore. My Mcafee is not working properly because I am unable to scan or do real time scanning. Finally I get error 48 unable to run dll file in Access. I have managed to remove the virus, I think! However I am unable to real time protect PC.
