1 External usb hard drive is not recognised and 1 usb stick say's please insert dick

my computer crash i have now got it working again but it won\'t let me into the external hard drive, yet if i go into safely remove hard ware it is there. the usb stick show\'s up as being there but when i go to open it it show\'s a box with a message with please insert disk plus i don\'y seem to be able to show you a image of the problem

Looks you need to re-install or update your mainboard driver with your mainboard CD or download new driver from internet.
