I am using Vista Basic Operating system:Windows Vista Home Basic (32 bit) Service Pack 2 System root: C:\Windows Available physical memory: 1013 MB CPU: Intel® Celeron® M CPU 430 @ 1.73GHz Drive Info: C: 31.89 GB D: 465.76 GB Internet Explorer: 9.0 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
WiseCleaner Posted October 17, 2013 Report Share Posted October 17, 2013 1, make sure the Volume Shadow Copy service is running.click Start---type services.msc and press Enter, find out and double-click Volume Shadow Copy, modify its startup type to Automatic, click Start to run this service. click OK to save settings.2, right-click Computer on desktop, click Properties---Advanced system settings----Advanced----Performance----Settings-----Data Execution Prevention, select Turn on DEP for essential Windows and services only. click OK to save settings. 3, check your extenal hard disk for errors. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/Check-your-hard-disk-for-errors 4, disable anti-virus software before backup.
