Jayzx
2GB RAM is still slow. Stop programs you don't need running in background.Find a software that uses a lot of memory and consider uninstalling if you really not much need it.Check if there are malware, adware, spyware in your system, they eat up memory. Prabhutva
I followed the step you gave and sfc scannow also but the condition of my computer is as it is. Is windows 7 home basic a slow operating system? My one of the friend also had win 7 homebasic pre installed and it also works very slow but a computer having ultimate is running very fast Operating system:Windows 7 Home Basic (64 bit) Service Pack 1 System root: C:\Windows Available physical memory: 1956 MB CPU: Intel® Core i3-2350M CPU @ 2.30GHz Drive Info: C: 240.16 GB D: 225.50 GB Internet Explorer: 11.
xilolee
And the other steps? If you have already tried all the other steps and suggestions (written inside the other links), and the speed didn't increase, follow the first jayzx's suggestion: 2GB of RAM is the minimum system requirement for Windows 7 64bit. Probably 4GB will be better.
ChristianDJakes
You can try WinMD Pro. Maybe it's helpful to your problem...
