Jayzx
Hi I use a Dell Inspiron Duo. It was a Windows 7 Operating System then upgraded later to Windows 8 Pro and all worked fine. Now, when I try to open my built in camera it always show that "Sorry. The camera app. cannot be used in this version of windows" though it was usable before. I already tried reinstalling and updating the driver for imaging. I don't know what happened and what should I do? Please help. Thank you and God Bless. 云淡风轻
Seems like you didn't installed correct driver. I guess 'though it was usable before' means it worked well in Windows 7, not Windows 8. You'd better open your laptop official website, download its Win8 driver.

It worked in windows 8 but after a few months (five months maybe) it shows that. Where can I download a compatible driver for windows 8? In the official site it only shows other drivers and does not show anything for win8
云淡风轻
Understand. Try this way. 1, Right click My PC 2, Click Properties 3, Click Device Manager 4, Click Imaging devices 5, Right click your WebCam device 6, Click Properties 7, Click Roll Back Driver Maybe Windows 8 default driver can solve this problem. Jayzx
It was not a driver problem, simply not compatible with win8. I uninstall the Camera app and reinstall it. I had problems verifying my microsoft account so uninstalling the app was not a option before but finally verified it and now can install from the Win.Store. It works fine now xilolee
