nandi Posted October 19, 2013 Report Share Posted October 19, 2013 i don't know what happen in my pc, all my start menu (.lnk) and my task bar is missing one by one, and clear to zero at last. It's seems a virus effect, but i have check by running AVG and Smadav Anti Virus, but they don't found that virus. Are somebody know how to restore all my start menu item back ? I have running recurva to search any deleted items, and recuva is not found all my start menu items (.lnk). I'm Running Windows 8 Home 64 bit. Please help me.... april Posted October 21, 2013 Report Share Posted October 21, 2013 1. Press ctl alt delete and task manager comes up2. Click onto applications and click > New task3. Type regedit and press ok4. Click HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINECLick SOFTWAREClick MicrosoftClick Windows NTClick CurrentVersionCLick Winlogon5. Now look for the entry SHELL6. If it is not there you will need to create it, to do this right click on winlogon and click “new” > Key7. Type the name SHELL and press enter8. Now on the right hand side double click on the (default) this brings up a box where you can type the words explorer.exe8. Press ok and then exit regedit9. Restart your computer.10.
