sofiagreco Posted July 3 Report Posted July 3 My EML emails include many attachments such as PDFs, DOC files, XLS sheets, images, HTML files, and small signature graphics. I only need specific document types for record work. I want to avoid unwanted files and save only the selected attachment extensions.
nivalgarza Posted July 3 Report Posted July 3 Yes, selected attachment extraction is possible if the software supports file extension filtering. This helps when an EML folder contains mixed attachments but you only need invoice PDFs, Word files, Excel sheets, ZIP files or images. Extension Filter Setup Choose the required formats before extraction, such as .pdf, .docx, .xlsx, .zip, .jpg or .png. This helps skip unnecessary items such as email signatures, tracking images and small embedded graphics. EML Source Folder Handling Keep the original EML folder safe and run the process on a copied backup folder. This prevents changes to the source email files. Attachment Output Review You can also test Softaken EML Attachment Extractor if you need to export only particular attachment types from EML and EMLX files. Run a small batch first and review the output folder before processing the complete archive.
