Unable to suppress deletion

I am running WDC 11.3.3 (but the same applies to the earlier editions, too) on a Windows 11 Pro system. WDC repeatedly deletes a 'hhcolreg.dat' file (a part of the Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0) in the Windows\Help\ directory.

I excluded Microsoft Visual Studio from the "Other Applications,“ and also set the following Exclusions:

\Windows\Help\*

\Windows\Help\hhcolreg.dat

 

but with no success, the hhcolreg.dat file is removed after each WDC run.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Dear Vilma62, 

Sorry about that. We just tested in Wise Disk Cleaner. The Common Cleaner in Wise Disk Cleaner will not delete the file hhcolreg.dat. 

This item only appears in the System Slimming section, but deleting it is not recommended. Please do not check the Help Files of Windows when running System Slimming.
