If Wise Care 365 or Wise Disk Cleaner freezes while scanning Cookies (including browsed History, saved form information, and saved passwords)  and then closes unexpectedly, this is caused by ESET’s Browser protection.

We do not recommend disabling ESET’s real‑time protection. Instead, add Wise Care 365 or Wise Disk Cleaner to ESET’s exclusion/allowlist. The steps below use ESET Internet Security and Wise Disk Cleaner as an example:

1. Open ESET.

2. In the left pane, click "Setup", then on the right, click "Computer protection".

3. Under Computer protection, find "Real‑time file system protection", click the gear icon, then click "Configure…".

4. In the Configure window, click "Browser protection" on the left. On the right, find "Browser protection allowlist" and click "Edit".

5. Click "Add" and enter this path (adjust if you installed Wise Disk Cleaner to a different folder):

C:\Program Files (x86)\Wise\Wise Disk Cleaner\WiseDiskCleaner.exe

C:\Program Files (x86)\Wise\Wise Care 365\WiseCare365.exe

6. Click Save (or OK) until all dialogs are closed to keep the changes.

Finally, open Wise Disk Cleaner and run the Cookies scan.

If you do not have ESET installed but see the same behavior, please tell us the name and version of your antivirus/endpoint product so we can reproduce the issue and find a solution.
