sgjohnson1981 Posted April 6 Report Posted April 6 I updated to the latest version of Wise Disk Cleaner and now Disk Defrag isn't working. No matter what I try to do it says Analyzing for a second, never goes beyond 0.0%, then says Analyzed, then quits without doing anything else. I can select another option as many times as I want and the same thing happens. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Didn't work. Was working fine before. No SSD.
wisecleaner_admin Posted April 8 Report Posted April 8 Dear user, Sorry about that. We just tested and didn't find such an issue. Please make a screen record of your operation and send it to us so we can verify it.
sgjohnson1981 Posted April 21 Author Report Posted April 21 Nevermind. The disk got labelled dirty by Windows 10. Not sure why it happened but it's all good now. Might want to add logic that notifies a user of a dirty bit. Seems the native Windows defragger won't show the disk when it's marked dirty. That's what tipped me off it wasn't Wise Disk Cleaner. Thankfully ChatGPT was able to help me figure it out. Never heard of a "dirty bit" before.
wisecleaner_admin Posted April 23 Report Posted April 23 Dear user, Thank you for your feedback. Have a good day.
