How to Flush the DNS Cache in Windows Vista, 7 and 8?

Clicked Start, All Programs, Accessories, Command Prompt:

 

 

Hit, Enter,

 

 

Nothing seemed to happen except “The requested operation requires elevation”, I have NO idea what this means!!!!!!!!!

That's because you didn't open an elevated command prompt, but a simple command prompt.

 

Windows Vista and Windows 7
1. Click the Start button and select All Programs

2. Select Accessories, right click on Command Prompt and select Run as administrator


You have other methods to open an elevated command prompt; for example: click windows start, in the searchbox type cmd, press and hold (keep pressed) CTRL and SHIFT (keys on your keyboard), press ENTER (and release all the keys), say yes to the user account windows that should appear.
