Some Files May Be Corrupted

I keep getting a message to format my external HD is there anyway to removing these corrupted files from my external HD?

You can try to deal with your issue in this way.

 

Right-click on your external HD drive, select "Properties".
Select the "Tools" tab.
Under "Error-checking", click the "Check Now" button.
Check "Automatically fix file system errors", then click OK.
