I tried sticking and removing selotape on the battery to try to solve the issue: http://forum.wisecleaner.com/index.php?/topic/9099-random-hibernation-80-battery-power-is-not-enough-for-this-computer-something-wrong-with-my-battery/ and the I found out that the issue actually depended on the presence of tape - No tape - battery will never hibernate. With tape - battery can hibernate at any time and reading could read zero and sometimes the battery will not charge even if plugged on for hours and hours and hours How can both issues be solved? if not tape what can prevent a loose battery from cutting power while on battery?
  2. I bought this computer more than two years ago...and never replaced it. Maybe I need to get a new battery?

I tried the link that you sent me but this did not help as I have checked these settings: For the power plan I chose I saw that it is 10% for "low battery" and 5% for "critical battery", but the thing is that this computer is assuming "critical battery" at 80%. This also goes to hibernate even if it is not idle. Any other solutions that could help the problem?
  4. I mean, when unplugged, after working for some time, the computer hibernates at 80% without warning, sporadically, assuming there is low battery level... This means I have to waste about five minutes time just to go back to work every time this happens? Whether it's 20% or 40% or 60% or even 80% or 90% it just tells me I must plug in because of "critical battery level". What exactly is wrong with having this problem?   8. This file was downloaded from the internet. When I opened it in my browser every page worked out well. But when it is saved to my computer... "There was an error opening this document. The file was damaged and could not be repaired." How is this possible? How can a file downloaded from the internet end up being unable to open in Adobe Reader? I will send you the problematic file. How would I clean the C: disk to release more space / how do I know which files are useful or not? And this issue has nothing to do with low battery power - the unexpected shutdown happened when there is still battery power. In fact, sometimes I see the screen just suddenly turn off power even with lid open. However, it may be a "loose battery issue" If the problem is not resolved the unexpected shutdown may happen many times later and (number one) it is a frustrating process and is a waste of time and (number two) it makes me lose work that I have done in the last session [unless I save it of course]. I tried applying tape to prevent the loose battery but it worked. In fact, today this has happened to my computer twice with the same message. It's not hibernate, it's not sleep, it's unexpected shutdown. And I repeat, this has nothing to do with batteries. Perhaps BIOS or other computer preferences? This is getting pretty frustrating... I expect an answer as soon as possible.

  14. I know that website allows me to test speed, but in the download manager sometimes it downloads things at a good speed and then goes down to zero. Why is that?

  21. If I can tell you, my user is within a school domain. I found out that some other users within the domain have the same extensions installed so maybe I need to contact the network admin to find this out?
  22. I think that chrome://policy tell me that these extensions have been installed using a policy value. How do I edit this value
