UCanFixIt got a reaction from Robeztemata in "Mark Solved" Option Now Available to Members
Hello all members,
The "Mark Solved" option has been activated in the Computer Trouble-Shooting Discussion Board. Now originating posters (OPs) can select their own "Best Answer."
How it works:
Each member response to an originating poster's issue will now include a "Mark Solved" button that can only be seen by the OP (see image1). If a specific response solves the OPs issue, he/she can simply click the Mark Solved button for that specific response and it will automatically do two things:
1. It will update the index to show the OPs issue as "Answered." (see image2)
2. It will add the "Best Answer" to the top of the OPs post. (see image3)
This new feature could really benefit members or guests that are looking for solutions while browsing or searching the Computer Trouble-Shooting Discussion Board.
Note: The Wise Specific Product Boards do not have this feature enabled.

UCanFixIt got a reaction from xilolee in How to Enable "God Mode" in Win 7, 8, and 8.1
Hello all,
This is a fairly well-known option but I thought I would post the "how-to" just in case you didn't know about it.
This simple procedure will create a Gode Mode Icon on your desktop that allows you to browse almost every available option on your computer.
How to activate:
1. Create a new folder on your desktop - see image1
2. Right click and rename the folder exactly as shown below (you can cut and paste the correct rename from below) - see image2
GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}
3. Once renamed, that folder icon will "immediately" change to a God Mode icon - see image3
4. Click the new icon and browse all of your available options that are now categorized for easy viewing - see image4
Comment: This option essentially provides an alternative way to view and access virtually every option available in Control Panel without the need for continual navigation.
Hope you like it!

Hi eleni!
1) Download adwcleaner portable (click) and run it.
2) Download wise care 365 portable (click), extract it and put it on your desired/preferred folder.
3) Create a system restore point (or let it create by WiseCare, it should ask it to you the first time you run it)
4) Double left-click wisecare365.exe, click custom checkup, select/tick all entries (or the entries that you prefer), click ok, click checkup now, wait until the scan finishes, click fix now.
5) Click the third tab at top: system tuneup
On the left, click the fourth tab: startup manager
Remove unnecessary items (keep enabled antivirus and processor items)
6) Launch sfc /scannow from an elevated command prompt
7) Defrag your hard disks (it may take hours... Try first the OS partition only).
If you often get BSODs, skip this.
Keep us informed.

1. Because the Greek language has long words, you can give more space in certain fields? (pictures 1 &2).
2. On "Ratings" screen while it seems that there is a rating, below writes "No ratings have been made on this plug-in.".(picture 3)
3. While on IE and Chrome all plugins appear correctly, on Firefox (with English text) as hexadecimal number and one (with English title and Greek description) in Arabic language. (picture 4)

Hi ozax2851!
You can also try:
1) Check how to reset chrome settings
2) Or rename default folder to backup-default inside C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\ (where the default folder is).
If those operations don't work, I think a reinstallation is needed. Let us know.
Looking forward for your kind feedback!

Since we continually give out advice without ever getting a response back (well maybe 1 in 100 respond back), it would be nice to know if you truly have an issue. Please provide any additional details that might help us help you. If you do not respond to this additional request, then good luck with your issue.

OK.
You need to pay attention to 3 items:
1, If you don't want to clean IE and other browsers's history
Before you run PC Check, please click Custom Checkup button--->expand Computer Traces--->uncheck Microsoft Internet Explorer address bar history and other Explorer MRUs
2, When you run Wise care 365--->System Cleaner--->Common Cleaner--->Traces In Computer, expand Internet Browsing History, do not check Microsoft Internet Explorer Active History and Microsoft Internet Explorer address bar history
3, When you run Privacy Eraser, before your clean it, uncheck History of Visited Pages

UCanFixIt reacted to Billy in Wise Folder Hider not totally secure
I system restored my computer and when I went to check my hidden files, I noticed that the password to access them had changed. For the life of me I could not guess it which was kinda frustrating seeing as I had hidden around 80 GBs of stuff. I was resolved not to pay the $10 password reset fee and I had given up when by chance I discovered a way to not only locate my files, but retrieve them WITHOUT the password. I figured it was a glitch and so I hid a few more files (less important ones) just to test out my method and it worked. It has worked without fail. Who do I notify about this?

Error 0x800CCC19 appears to be a wrong SMTP or POP port number. Have you tried to set to the POP incoming server to utilize the encryption port number 995? If so, you need to enable encryption from your email account settings and use the encryption port numbers below:
SMTP : 465
POP: 995
Or you can just disable the encryption and use the following non-encryption numbers:
SMTP: 587
POP: 110
Also, try to check your email settings if all information is correct. I hope this can help you.

Hi asrnk!
(rundll32 - startup error ? )
To remove TBupdater.dll, backgroundcontainer.dll, daemonprocess.exe errors:
1) Remove mobogenie, OpenCandy, Quick Downloader, Conduit.
From control panel, programs.
2) Download/run these programs:
Full scan with your antivirus
adwcleaner (click)
Junkware removal tool (click)
superantispyware free (click)
sophos virus removal tool free (click)
MBAM free (click)
stinger 32 bit (click) or stinger 64 bit (click)
(according to your windows BIT version)
MS Safety Scanner 32 bit (click) or MS Safety Scanner 64 bit (click)
(according to your windows BIT version)
Adwcleaner is usually sufficient to solve the problem (it's fast and easy).
Anyway, other scans don't hurt!
Keep us informed.

If you think your issue started right after a graphics driver update, please go to device manager and roll that graphics drive back to its previous version.
