What are "traces" in Disk Cleaner?

Recommended Posts

In Disk Cleaner, there is a section to clean "files" and another for "traces". Am familiar with the named files on disk that can be a folder, file, text, executable, DLL, etc., but can you describe just what the "traces" are? I never heard of them... I looked in the online help, but no explanation there...

Thank you.

Hi Sir,

Please refer to the attached pic.

"Traces" is another word for "records". Clean the traces can help your PC keep slimmer and further protect your privacy.
