at present I am using windows 10 techpreview as guestOS in windows 7 professional host machine. I uninstalled and reinstalled the programme. still the problem remains the same.earlier I installed this programme in windows8 to see that the same problem exists. however this programme functions smoothly in windows virtual PC with windows xp

as OS. so it is a virtualbox error

From virtualbox.org - End-user documentation:

In order to run VirtualBox on your machine, you need:

[...]

A supported host operating system. Presently, we support Windows (XP and later), many Linux distributions, Mac OS X, Solaris and OpenSolaris.

A supported guest operating system. Besides the user manual (see below), up-to-date information is available at "Status: Guest OSes".

And Windows 10 is not on the "guest OSes" list.

Are you saying that windows xp+virtual box can run Windows 10?
