xilolee
Windows Update error 0x80073712 Windows Update error 80073712 In summary (like said in the first link): 1) run sfc /scannow (from an elevated command prompt), wait until it finishes: if the result is NOT OK (integrity violations have been found), restart the machine and re-try the same command. If the results is now OK (no integrity violations have been found), restart the machine and try to update it. Otherwise go to the next point. 2) run the checkSUR tool/utility (a.k.a. SURT - system update Readiness tool). (german version?) System Update Readiness Tool for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB947821) [May 2014] 3) (like said in the second link) If the System Update Readiness Tool does not correct the problem, you'll need to repair Windows. xilolee
Did you try anyway to run the sfc tool? Did it ask you the Windows cd or did it work without it? Could you upload the S.U.R.T log files? You'll find them in: - %SYSTEMROOT%\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log - %SYSTEMROOT%\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.persist.log
