Loss of Audio

Randomly, I will lose sound. When I check the speaker icon it appears everything is fine. The driver says it's the most current. When I reboot, the problem disappears for a day or so. When I check the event log, I see Schannel Source, Event ID 36887, code 40. I cannot find anything helpful about those codes. Any suggestions to resolve this recurrent problem? Thank you.

When did you update the sound card driver? Before the update, do you have same problem?

If not, please roll back the sound driver to the earlier version

Try to use the Free tools (Anti-malware, anti-spyware, anti-virus) that you could use to inspect your computer.
